This is from the Marketplace Co-op; I'm not 100% sure of the name of the shop but throw some guesses out there...PRETTY sure I remember which one...know the location of it but struggling with the names.

Since we'll be gone the rest of the day and evening I'm going to post another crop. Getting VERY NERVOUS about the game and can't imagine how the girls are feeling now but their send off is only 45 minutes away and then we're on the road too. Two hour trip ahead of us but beautiful day and excited I'll be able to get some DAYTIME photos again! Could be the last chance I'll have before the "waterworks" begin....

Redstorm "called it" when she saw the schedule last December, "we won't make it out of the 2nd round in this Region". Didn't make it any easier tonight and a lot of "ugly crying"... they didn't cry on the field , walking off with pride but boy...once they walked through that gate the waterworks started...from ALL of us. I honestly didn't think Redstorm would take the "goodbye to her Red Storm teammates" so hard but this "did me in"...she was hugging Madysen and Ella was hugging her...

...and when MacKenzie came over to hug her the waterworks started...

...and poor Taylor...she couldn't stop...

But Coach Treavor (who started coaching these girls 9 years) ago said it best...



What a group of seniors, you had a great ride! It was always about the family this group had become not just about the game of soccer. I will so miss seeing my girls on the field but I take joy in knowing they will always be a part of my life. They taught me so much and I love them like my own! tonight I shed my tears and now smile at all the great memories we had together! I love you all!#ellamorganyoshinancytaylormadysenmakenziebereinicenickithalia



They played an awesome team; if not the future State Champs they'll be the runners-up. VERY well coached and disciplined soccer players. In the first 2 minutes, Redstorm took a shot on goal and at the VERY LAST second the goalie grabbed it by the tips of her fingers and managed to get it under control; they then went down to score and the "air was out of the balloon" for the Brahmanettes. They kept fighting but it was a struggle for Redstorm...she was knocked down here and fell HARD on her backside about 6 minutes into the game and she had to fight hard to stay on the field ... she was still hurting when they stopped for dinner. She'll be making a trip to the chiropractor tomorrow for sure!

Club Soccer continues but it just won't be the same ; part of our hearts walked off that field tonight for the last time.

It's hard losing in the playoffs.

...and it's harder saying goodbye to GOOD friends. Those girls are like sisters and, along with their parents, like family members. They'll be scattered ALL over the state of Texas and Oklahoma next fall and will be so missed in Redstorm's "circle". The game loss was made easier when we got the scores of the team that was 1st place in our district...the RUDE bunch with the awful parents ...they lost too last night.
