Good news ... and bad news from the first day of first dance competition of the season. The Company's presentation of The Jungle Book scored the highest possible score ; the bad news...they received an invitation to New York...3 Master Dance Classes plus one-on-one time with the Rockettes; a cruise, tour, meals and room...cost for the Princess and DD=$4,000.00! WAY more money than any of us have "laying around" right now!

WAY more than we have at this time...damn medical expenses! Hoping we can send her with the group; she would LOVE spending time with the Rockettes! She's been crazy about them since she visited Radio City Music Hall last summer and she met a member of the group.

If the group decides to go they'll probably do fundraisers but it's 20+ in the group ... will be HARD to raise $40,000 in our little town especially since a cheer group has just "hit everyone up" for a Washington, DC trip. We'll see...

...and we have a BINGO ... King Triton is directly across from Under the Sea next to the DVC building. Believe it or not, I've never noticed him there until I made it a point to search him out after seeing this picture on another thread!

I love a dance teacher/studio owner with common sense ; no worries over a New York trip ...she told the girls that this will fall under the "nice to be invited but no thank you" category. She refused to ask her "families" to foot the bill and didn't want to "go public" with such an enormous fundraiser. She's getting a huge hug from me tomorrow! She did say if any of the families wished to attend she'd do the paper work; while the Princess would LOVE this trip, I think we'll decline. Off early in the morning for Day #2 of the competition. The PIRATE solo is at 9:15 with 3 group dances beginning at 3 PM. LONG day ahead but anxious to watch the performances! Work on this while we're gone tomorrow....

This is not in the MK 'cause it's not in a park. It is in a shop though...

I really have not been paying attention to the national weather. I have been in the low 90's. Snow now for you is unbelievable. Y'all so need to move south.

OMG WHAT A LONG DAY! Left at 7:30 AM; returned at 6:30 PM . Could have had better results with group dances but 3 out of 4 got trophies for "elite high" scores; as did the Princess with her PIRATES solo...and DANG IT...SHE GOT A DARN INDIVIDUAL INVITATION TO THE NEW YORK CITY THING for her solo too! I was sitting next to DD and SIL and they both went, "NOOOOOO" when they announced her name! I think we're sticking to dance teachers decision...unless we win the lottery between now and then.

Diane...before we left this morning DH had the weather on TV and when he saw the snow predicted for you for tomorrow he said...I'll bet she's SO tired of snow.
