Is it ever good to be home and

I LOVE YOU GUYS! THANK YOU for your good wishes!

Been a little overwhelmed since we walked in the door about 3:30 this afternoon and heard the phone ringing.

First order of business was shower, wash my hair and seeing if my own bed would actually feel as good to be in again as I imagined it would...IT WAS

! Had a short rest before DGD's came running into the bedroom full of hugs

; Tuesday night/Wednesday morning, I honestly didn't know if I'd ever see them again

. DH got some homemade food on the table

; other DD arrived to check on us; more phone calls from friends and now it's finally time to get caught up with my WITW friends! Ed was a "lifesaver/life line" in helping me NOT climb the walls the past couple of days

, keeping me updated on what was happening here. I DON'T DO "bed rest" well and after laying flat on my back, hooked up to IV's/monitors/blood transfusions, etc. for 36 hours straight I needed a distraction

. Ed took over when DH and DD's left for home for the day after visiting hours. I even discovered there are old I Love Lucy reruns on the Hallmark Channel from 4-6 AM.

No lack of "Disney talk" though with my caregivers. Several of the nurses are Disney fans and one of the "vampire ladies" (my affectionate name for the ladies that visited me WAY to often to draw blood) just did "all 4 parks in 1 day" a few short weeks ago. (She doesn't recommend it!

) DIANE...you have no idea how many times I thought of YOU during my Life Flight helicopter ride!

It only took us around 20 minutes to get from Bellville to Bryan via Life Flight but being slightly claustrophobic (Denise remembers my hesitation on riding Mission to Mars for that reason) I needed any distraction I could think off! They did give me a small amount of anti-anxiety drug

but thinking about riding the Characters in Flight balloon with "the WITW gang" did just as much good. I must say it was "pretty cool" and would have had the "WOW factor" under different circumstances. The pilot and nurse (male and sweet as can be) were awesome, pointing out points of interest along the way. As soon as we were airborne, I looked out to see we were flying over DD's house! They loved it! The sunset was beautiful but their little detour over Kyle Field for me was AWESOME! The past few days have been an "adventure" and my "words of wisdom" to you all would be "live each day as if it's your last". My doctors, nurses, even former nurse BFF all put my "problem" in the "stuff happens" category; nothing they did, nothing
I did just a "freak incident" (I won't go into the "details"...pretty yucky

). So now I'm ready to get back into WITW...I'll have to go back and look but I think it was Terri that solved the last crop I had up...
...this is from Liberty Tree Tavern
