This photo was taken in Frontierland; it's not from a parade but is from a permanent attraction. :tink:

Is the attraction in another land? Adventure land? Liberty Square? Ride?

Sorry about your DGD.

I like Jason Aldean. Glad you enjoyed the concert. Where do you have to go for a concert? Boston? How are you and your son feeling? Hope you are both well now.

I love Jason Aldean. The concert was at the Verizon Wireless Arena in Manchester, which is about a 25 min drive. Nick is feeling back to normal. I still have a cough but feeling much better.

Thank you all for your well wishes for my fur baby. His name is Cosmo and he is a 10 yr old boxer. We did not get good news. I went to the appointment knowing that it was something serious. Boxers are prone to cancer and the average life span is only 8 - 12 yrs. They know by the blood work that his liver is failing. It's most likely cancer, but could be Hepatitis. Our options are some expensive testing, $1000 - $1500; or putting him to sleep. Going to take him camping with us and make a decision. If he was younger, I wouldn't hesitate to do the testing, but at his age, the vet said its more than likely that the out come will not be good. Not the best of days, but will try to enjoy our weekend with him.

Denise, no we are not camping at Fort Wilderness this trip, just a quick weekend at a local State Park.

This is Cosmo.

For all you that have pets in the states. Do you guys have pet insurance down there we do up here. Just wondering because you guys seem to spend a small fortune on these animals to keep them well.

We don’t have any pets so I don’t know how the insurance works but I know several people who have it and it does not cost a lot per month and if your pet ever goes to the vet they pretty much cover most of the Vet bills.

Just wondering if they have stuff like that down there too

It's available but major $$$$$$$ especially if you have more than one pet! I have joined a pet owners club for discounts on Goopy's heart meds. Still pay $70 for 2 months worth but w/o the discount I'd be closer to $140 every purchase. If we'd be smart :goodvibes we'd ALL buy the pet insurance as our dogs age. 99% of the time there will be NO problems with younger animals other than shots and vaccinations and we all tend to forget that as they age the problems start. Good time for all of us to look into it again though; as DD pointed out last night...the "cash office visit" of a specialists she sees is now the same price she has to pay to take her breeder dogs to the vet! :tink:

Cosmo is BEAUTIFUL! My DD owns a grooming shop and she LOVES grooming boxers! I'm so sorry; I have some advice you won't want to hear but I'll just say, we tried to treat one of our dogs for cancer and "it wasn't pretty". Poor Blackie suffered SO much, even with meds and constant care. In hindsight I wish we wouldn't have put her through that. She didn't deserve to suffer like she did for us to selfishly keep her with us longer. But here I am again, like you, looking at the same decision I'll have to make one of these days with Goopy. You can enjoy him as long as possible (as I am with my beloved Goopy) but you'll know when it's time to let go. Enjoy the time you have; he'll have good and bad days as you will. Hug him for us and enjoy your camping trip. :grouphug: :tink:

We went to a Jason Aldean concert last night. OMG it was soooooo good. We were 10 rows from the stage on the floor. I haven't been to a concert in so long. Really, really tired today didn't get to bed until about 1:00 am. But it was so worth it.

Hope your DGD ankle is ok. DD hurt her ankle in 7th grade cross country. It still bothers her sometimes if she runs long distance or if she runs/steps wrong on it. She has an ankle brace she wears when she runs when it acts up.

GREAT seats for the concert :yay:! I don't remember the last time I went to a concert :rolleyes1; I remember it was Mannheimn Steamroller in Downtown Houston but who knows WHEN! :rotfl: Redstorms ankle should be okay if she rests it this weekend. DD put her in her jetted tub last night to warm her up when they got home and let's just say the "S*** hit the fan" when she found out she DIDN'T have HER ankle brace on last night! The Athletic Directors wife told DD the cold could have easily had an effect on her; she's had ankle problems her entire life and said it gives her SO much more trouble in cold weather...and it WAS cold last night! Not as bad as this track meet last year but NOT comfortable sitting in the stands almost 4 hours! :tink:

Ok, now you are getting tricky...were you in Frontierland taking a picture of something in another land? Need more clues...Please!

Is the attraction in Adventureland or Liberty Square?

Thanks Denise...she may have to give up her guest player spot on a soccer team tomorrow but hoping rest does the trick!

:rotfl: Yes Terri...you FINALLY "caught on"; I'm being tricky :goodvibes but I was in Frontierland when I took the picture. This attraction is a ride based in Liberty Square. :tink:

He is so cute. You have a hard decision ahead of you.:grouphug::hug: Enjoy your weekend with him.

River Boat?

Seems like this crop went on FOREVER! :faint: It's the RIVERBOAT! :jumping1: I've been meaning to ride that sucker again the last 3 trips and last November it was TOP priority! I took this "around the bend" opposite of BTMRR; I also had a dilemma when you asked if it was from Tom Sawyer's Island. ::yes:: Technically, it IS from TSI but rationalized, it's not accessible or seen when you're on the Island.

Oh he looks like a great dog! So sorry the news at the vet today wasn't good. 10 is good for a big dog like a boxer. I last month I had to have the vet put my Pepper Pup "to sleep".

I was just looking at pet insurance today. It started at about $50 a month. But the problem was that it wouldn't cover any "pre-existing conditions" and since all of my animals are older, they've got the problems that are just going to get worse. I guess they want you to get it for your kitten or puppy so you will have to pay for years before you really need it.

Exactly...I checked when Goopy was a puppy and it was almost $1,000 a year...like 10 years ago. We couldn't afford $75+ a month for insurance! But you're right, they want you to pay on it 10 years so they make some money with minimal payout. Plus...multiply that by 7...number of dogs DD has ...or at that time by 6 to include ALL of our dogs! :tink:
