DIANE...DD just called...she had to take Redstorm to the doctor this morning with a sore throat and headache! Not strep so she just gave her some antibiotics; no fever and Redstorm wanted to go back to school. DD also said a cousin in Colorado has been in/out of school for 2 weeks...tested negative for strep on the first doctor visit but then tested positive the next week. So...if DS isn't better in a few days, I'd take him back for another strep test. Sweating out keeping the little one well for the last weekend of performances. She is "eating this up" ...after church service Sunday she just beamed from ear to ear when a couple called out to her..."It's Susan Walker!" DD just left a local office...after a 15 minute conversation with one of the employees about her performance! She must be doing it right...lots of compliments...NOW...just 1 more WEEK to keep her well!

Got the second round of tests back for DS. Second Mono test came back positive. Stupid lab. Good thing is the antibiotics have helped his throat a little.

I like that the Dr gave her the antibiotics right away.

Got the second round of tests back for DS. Second Mono test came back positive. Stupid lab. Good thing is the antibiotics have helped his throat a little.

I like that the Dr gave her the antibiotics right away.

Well Pooh...was hoping he just had a sore throat. That must happen a lot in the labs but at least it eventually gets diagnosed. Glad his throat is getting better! I think the holiday break will help Redstorm a lot...between DW, school, ACE Volleyball practice, basketball practice, basketball games, UIL competition practice, confirmation at church...she just needs a break!

I agree your DGD needs a break. It's no fun doing all that while you're sick.

ME TOO! Only thing on the "to do list" after the 25th is SEE THE NEW STAR WARS MOVIE! She's planning on watching the first 3 movies (we have the set) during the holidays BEFORE we see this new release. Downtime for all of us...!

Hope so...she'll be at school 13 1/2 HOURS today, less the hour she went to the doctor. UIL competition practice started at 7:30 this morning; ACE volleyball practice finishes at 9:30! DH said he knew she wasn't feeling well last night; dinner after the basketball game and she only ate half a Subway sandwich and a cup of potato soup!
