Park, resort or other? Is it fabric?

ED...you may have to report for duty at the WITW News Desk this weekend again :rotfl2:. We've been "promised" rain for the past 2 weeks so I'll "believe it when I see it" but sure looks like it's going to be a wet weekend. There's a low in the Gulf of Mexico, the hurricane coming across Mexico and a cold front coming from the north. The weather guy said since this doesn't have a "name" people aren't preparing but...you need to prepare! :rotfl:

For as much rain as this will send to Texas over the weekend, I'm just terrified for the folks in Mexico in the path of this monster. :tink:

I was reading about this earlier. They are saying it's the strongest storm ever to hit Mexico.

...and it developed from a tropical storm to Cat 5 hurricane in 24 HOURS! I didn't know anything about it until yesterday morning! This is our projected rainfall...we're to the right of LaGrange/Giddings:

How much rain? That's still not set in stone, but I can tell you it looks like enough to cause significant flooding in Central Texas. Computer models range from... as little as 2-3" to as much as 15-18". Why such a difference? We've got Gulf Moisture plus an approaching cold front along with the wild card: Hurricane Patricia. The track of that system will determine just how high the rain totals go. For now, here's my first guestimate of possible rain totals through Sunday night as of Thursday evening. ‪#‎keyewx‬ http://bit.ly/keyewx1

The heavy rain isn't predicted until tomorrow so Friday night football should be fine :cheer2:; any games scheduled for tomorrow will be "iffy" :umbrella:. Just walked into the room with the TV and thought the Weather Channel guy was out in the snow :rotfl2:...then I noticed he was in Dallas and that was rain! It's coming down in white "sheets" and looked just like snow! :faint::tink:

Merida's float? Maybe a bagpipe?

Boy, you Texans are just getting rained on and rained on this year. I'd invest in a boat if I were you.

SOME parts of the State have had good rains; for us, we haven't had any large amounts since the Memorial Day weekend. We had 2-3" during the summer but the heat & southerly winds dried everything out a LOT! Our entire area has been under a burn ban for about a month; it's been SO dusty and dry we were even cautioned to BBQ with extreme caution. SO...looking forward to this...tried to get my Halloween yard signs put up yesterday and couldn't get the sticks/poles in the ground more than a half inch. This will help a lot!

:cool1: You are correct...my favorite princess, Merida rides on this!
