Hi all,

Need some help with a room request. We are staying in a standard studio at Kidani. We would like to be away from the bus areas. My mom is a light sleeper and this would be bothersome to her. If possible we would also like to be close to coffee refills. This is secondary if the 2 don't go together we prefer away from buses. Where would you recommend we request?

Thanks all!

Ask for a studio near the pool then.

That will place you down the hallway to the left of the lobby, but far enough down that you hopefully will not be overlooking the Porte Cochere.

I believe standards to the right of the lobby will overlook the entire bus pick-up/drop-off area.

Coffee-refills? You should have a coffee pot in your kitchenette.

If you mean soda pop refills, they are in the small shop across from the front desk. The lobby is so small it doesn't matter which hallway you are coming from to get to the shop.

At the other DVC we have stayed at there was coffee refills for the mugs. Do you need to walk to Jamba house to get coffee for the refillable mugs or is there something at Kidani? We realize there is coffee in the room but we liked to walk to the quick service and get our coffee.

Good question. I'm not a coffee drinker, so I confess I never noticed anything other than the regular cold beverage dispenser. I honestly don't remember seeing coffee pots at Kidani, and I couldn't tell you if they have them over at The Mara at Jambo either.

I'm sure someone will be able to answer that for you though!

:) Hmmmm...I don't know if they have coffee for the refill mugs at Johari gift shop either? We didn't get the mugs and we do not drink coffee. However there was honestly a rocket scientist with us and we still had trouble finding Mara at Jambo House. If you have never been...walk down the stairs at the right of the lobby. When you see the entrance to Boma keep walking toward the door outside to the pool. Follow the walkway around the pool near the building and you will see Mara......whew we needed nurishment when we finally found it...

You can get coffee refills at the Johari gift shop just across the main lobby from the check in area.

I too would go to the left of the lobby as you are walking in to the lobby.

We just stayed there and we were in the third "section" to the left of the lobby, near the back side of the pool and it was very quiet.

We tried to request a room in that area and were told these weren't standard rooms. I thought that there were only standard and sauvana rooms. Are we missing something or was the cast member mistaken?

If you request "north of the lobby" you should be fine. The area you requested is the transition between standard and savanna rooms and MS might not know where the line is.

Was at Kidani for a 3 night stay last week in a 2 BR dedicated! Awesome resort!

Coffee refills in gift shop of lobby!

Loved resort, but many posts about alot of walking, LONG HALLS:yay: are very accurate...

I too am bothered by noise from busses etc so I was concerned about noise from busses real close to lobby...I said "close to lobby" on request, but not "on top" of lobby, upper floor request...We were assigned room 7735!
Poolside balcony, view of animals, but FAR FROM LOBBY! A LITTLE TOO FAR FOR NEXT TIME! Loved the underground parking..Car was so much cooler than being parked outside!:yay::yay:Used Rafiki elevator from parking up to room!

I would request 2nd Floor next time and closer to lobby...Easier to be on same floor as lobby for refills! A

Had an awesome time, but Kidani would be ENHANCED BY COUNTER SERVICE RIGHT AT KIDANI INSTEAD OF JAMBO! ALSO, VERY LIMITED DRINK REFILLS BY POOL..SILLY..BARTENDER MUST REFILL CUPS..I ASKED WHY THEY CAN'T PUT A DRINK REFILL STATION BY POOL AND THE RESPONSE WAS BEES!

Very happy we chose Kidani as our home!:dance3::dance3:Had an awesome 3nights there!:dance3::dance3::dance3::dance3::dance3::yay:

We are early risers, so the bus noise does not bother us that much. We were on the top floor, and our room overlooked the main circle entrance to Kidani. I do remember when we parked underground we used Rafiki and went straight up to our room for the most part.
