I usually watch these boards, and mousesavers for codes, but haven't seen any for quite awhile. The last one really wasn't a code, it was just a great deal, that we couldn't take advantage of(7 days for the price of 4).

We've been disney club members for quite awhile and only used the dc discount once, just last April (had to go then, dd's band thing).

I've applied for the Disney Visa, and woopee, spend $10,000 and save 10 bucks.

Does anyone know where to look?

Do you all think the disney visa will pay out or offer some codes in the future?

We won't be going till probably July or Aug. and in the past the codes for that time of year come out about April or May, hopefully there'll be some then.

Thanks for all replies.

I can't remember where I read this, but it was said that Disney seems to be doing more packages than codes here lately. The only codes that can be found are ones for FL residents on room-only rates. Also the AP holders seem to get some good rates here and again also. It's been said that the packages work out better for you now, but I don't know. I just like doing things separately as I lost money on the last package I did. :( Just keep your eyes open on mousesavers, I'm sure some good codes will pop up before you know it.

Best to you,

Denise

The 7 days for 4 was a package. I think there is a package where children 3-9 are free, which is also a good deal, except our children are 13 and 15.

I'd be happy with a 7 for 4 next July, heck I might do 2 in a row.

For $10,000 in spending, you would get $100 in rewards on the Visa. The card is free, I would get it just in case they do have something. Mine has already paid off with advance tickets to Lion King in Pittsburgh, 6th row!

Oh Boy! a 100 bucks, I think I'll go buy a new Suburban, that might get me one night at the Beach Club.

I did apply for the card, and I'm hoping hoping that it will lead to some discounts, other than the points.

Here is an offer with the Disney Visa

From mousesavers.com

Disney's Visa "Kids Stay and Play FREE" Package
Exclusively for holders of Disney's Visa and available most nights 1/4/04-6/12/04: buy a full-price Walt Disney World Dream Maker Package with your Disney’s Visa card, and for each adult on the package, one child (3-9) gets a FREE Ultimate Park Hopper pass for the length of stay. 4-night minimum.

PLUS you receive $100 in Disney Dollars per package at check-in!

This is a good deal IF you will be traveling with two adults and two kids ages 3-9. You will save a larger percentage on your overall vacation by booking the Value or Moderate resorts with this package, since the discount is on the ticket portion of the package. However, you can still save a significant amount at the Deluxe resorts.

Here are two actual examples of savings using this package:

2 adults, 2 children ages 4 & 8, staying at Caribbean Beach resort in early May for 6 nights. With the regular Dream Maker package, they would pay $2218. With this special, they would pay $1657.78. That's a 25% savings!

2 adults, 2 children ages 5 & 7, staying at Polynesian Resort in January for 7 nights. With the regular Dream Maker package, they would pay $3,703.40. With this special, they would pay $3,094.24 -- a savings of 16.5%.
Note: if you have already booked the discounted Winter Dream Maker Package (now discontinued) for January or February, this new package probably won't work out to be cheaper, EXCEPT possibly if you are staying at the All-Stars.

Silver, Gold, Platinum and Princess and Prince add-ons can be added to this package, but are not discounted.

Number of packages available at this rate is limited. Deposit must be made using Disney’s Visa card at time of booking and final payment must be made with Disney's Visa card. Package must be booked by 1/2/04. Thanks to Sue at Small World Travel for info.

Josephine,

Yes, I've seen that package and it is a great deal, but our children are 13 and 15. No help there.

I'd be glad to pay the difference between a child uph pass and an adult/youth uph.

$100 wouldn't pay for the beach club...;)
The Swan and Dolphin still have discounts like AAA, Annual Pass, Teacher, Nurse, Govt. worker rates, entertainment card. If Disney won't release the room only rates, book the SorD... at least that is what I would do. They are very nice hotels. (and with the heavenly beds, they have far superior beds to the reg. disney hotels.)

We always use our ap discount... if it goes away then we'll be in big trouble! :earseek:

I saw that kids stay free add last night on tv and that is for any visa card.

I'm also abit distressed about the lack of room only discount codes. As we all know for the budget minded it has always been better to stay away from the packages, though they have had some good deals as far as packages go. My theory is that having these packages include the ultimate park hopper passes included they are trying to keep you and your money on Disney property instead of heading to Universal or Sea World during your stay..
