It's been a month already since I was in "My Happy Place" and it seems like a year has passed!! So the only solution I can possibily think of is to start planning my next trip! :thumbsup2

Cee...where are you my friend????? We need to start planning!!! :rotfl:

When I first posted this note I had just returned from a fantastic trip with DH in October. Now..with the holidays gone and hopefully winter is almost on it's way out too...it's time to begin my planning and dreaming again!!!!! Come on June...another family trip with brother and family staying in a 2BR at SSR. I can't wait!!!!

Ok now..just booked a 1 BR Boardwalk View for next October 7th through the 12th. :thumbsup2

I know exactly how you feel. About a week after we got back from BWV, Dh said to me, "So where are we staying next year?" We also have to decide if we want to go in late Oct or early Nov. We were shocked by the crowd levels this year so I'm leaning towards early Nov, but I really enjoyed the warmer Oct temps.

We were there 10/9 - 10/15 and surprisingly enough the crowds were not bad at all. Of course we know enough to stay away from the F&W on the weekends. ;)

We arrived on 10/16. MK was really crowded on 10/17, the longest wait times I have seen in all of our trips. Epcot wasn't too bad on 10/18, AK was somewhat crowded on 10/20 & DHS was somewhat crowded on 10/21. DH wanted to go back to Epcot to get some dinner on 10/21 (Friday) and I told him it was going to be insane and I was right  WOW! We've really been spoiled by 10-20 min wait times the week before Thanksgiving.

Last year around the same time in October, I went into Epcot on a Friday evening....and immediately turned around and left! All I could see were the tops of people's heads!! :rotfl::rotfl:

I don't think DH and I waited more than 20 minutes for any attraction during our trip. But then again, we like to do the parks early. Not commando style now ;) but we'll be in the parks for rope drop, stop and have some coffee and leisurely do our thing! :goodvibes

Linda! How are you, my friend? Well, the fact that you are booked for F&W next year answers that!

It doesn't look like we can take our Jan. trip, DH has to work.:headache:

I'll have to follow your lead and get going on booking for next Oct.! If I can't be there, I will "plan" to be there! :thumbsup2

Hi Cee - I've missed seeing you! :goodvibes

Oh I'm sorry you may have to miss the January trip! Is this a done deal or is there a chance you both can go? I sure hope so!:thumbsup2

we were there this summer, and I feel the same. I just cant get DH to get on board with me yet...grr

I've been back a week and already thinking about our next trip. We'll definitely be doing F&W 2012. Just not sure if we'll be going late October or early November.

Oh, dear- You really do have a problem! You mean, you actually ended a trip with no definitive plans on your return? The one thing that makes it possible to end my trip is knowing I have the next one planned (and usually booked!)

My 3DS was sitting on the floor playing with trucks and tractors about 20 minutes ago, when he walks up to me and asks "Can we watch the Disney World show on tv?".

Of course, being the sucker that I am, I turned in on. Now I am thinking, when are we going back? We were planning on taking 2012 off, but I don't like that plan very much!

This whole string has me laughing...at myself mostly!!! I am like so many of you and have to have a few vacations planned ahead and 'in the barrel' as I call it. If not, leaving is wayyyyyy to painful.

Having said all of that...the vacation planning disease is almost as bad as the addonitis. For example, we are heading down to WDW for a short 4 night stay at OKW in January 2012:santa:. Beyond that trip I have already booked our April 2012-May 2012 DL/DCL Hawaiian cruise trip:cheer2:, September 2012 WDW/HHI trip:woohoo: and October 2012 DCL 7-day Fantasy cruise with WDW of course:banana:! See what I mean, this disease is taking over my life....:lmao:

Oh well, can't fight it....'mise as well sit back and enjoy the countdowns for each of those trips. Can I say how much I love my DVC?????

LOL....Actually I did end this past trip with another in the making but there were no actual "plans" made. I have a trip in June with my brother and his family. So now, I've begun my planning...:thumbsup2

And...now that I'm booked for F&W in October I can "multi task" and plan both trips! Hahahaha....:rotfl:

Hi Leanne...that's what I usually do. I guess "life" got in my way this time and made me postpone my "fun"! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

There was a time where DH wouldn't even go with us to WDW. He once told someone that he "bought" into the DVC for me and our then young son. NOW....just try and keep him away. BUT.....he's a one trip a year kinda guy. Me...I could go 2,3,4,5 times a year if I were rich and had no responsibilities!:laughing::laughing:

I used to have this problem with my DH also, and he's still a "once a year" kinda guy, where WDW is concerned. So I just go solo for the other trips. It's a big improvement since we bought DVC, though. He NEVER wanted to go before, and bought DVC primarily to make me happy. Now he's a big DVC fan-I was shocked when he bought his first Annual Pass. But he loves HHI best!

Actually, I use to take a solo trip every October; until this past October. DH came with me and totally enjoyed the F&W Festival and the seasonal changes to the parks and weather!! So...looks like my solo trips are over or I'll just pick another time to go! :thumbsup2

Sorry OP, I have to say that I've never had to experience that feeling as I've always had a trip planned, actually I'm usually got 2-3 trips planned in different stages. I'm pretty lucky to be blessed with alot of DVC points but before being a DVC member my DH was a CM (8 years) and we would visit 4-5 times a year. I can't imagine how it would feel not to be working on a trip--hopefully I never have to find out). Just today I called to book my Oct 13, 2012 trip, but recently finished some of my dining for my April/May 2012 trip and my January 2012 trip is all set except rental car. Good luck planning that next trip....!
