Animal Kingdom is planned to close at 5pm while we are there. Had thoughts to go back to room and shower up for a 8:15 Ohana reservation where we would request a window table and hopefully watch the MK fireworks from the restaurant at 9:30.

Do you think this is a good plan? Would you recommend another TS outside of the parks?? Anything we shouldn't miss for 1 TS credit each on the dining plan? It will be me, DH & 10 year old twins...and that will be our only night not in parks with time!

Other TS meals currently booked:
HS Day: Sci-fi dinner
AK Day: Tusker House bfast
Epcot Day: Akershus bfast & Garden grill (possibly)
MK Day 1: Crystal Palace bfast
BOG dinner (or lunch If we can get a FP)
MK Day 2: none

I think it is a good plan. :)

My only other in the area suggestion would be the way less fancy, and way more loud, Rain Forrest Cafe.

How important is seeing Wishes? I ask because not a lot of tables at 'Ohana have a view of Wishes. If seeing Wishes is critical, you might want to plan your meal (where you go) to finish up before Wishes starts and then you can head outside to watch the show. The Poly beach has a great view (not quite sure what it's like right now with the construction).

That sounds like a great plan assuming you can either get a table with a view or wouldn't be crushed if you are seated at another table. Another option would be to head over to Animal Kingdom Lodge and eat at Boma or Sanaa before heading back to your resort.

It's unlikely you will end up at one of the VERY few tables at 'Ohana that has a view of Wishes. Don't count on getting one. You can get up and stand behind the tables who do have that view during Wishes, but you'll find that reflections off the window glass will make for a less than spectacular view.

A better approach would be to move your 'Ohana time earlier, so you are out of the restaurant before Wishes begins (the beach at the Poly is a lovely place to watch it). Or, eat elsewhere and then head over to see Wishes.

We usually hit Downtown Disney on AK day. Our favorite is Raglan Road. The food is great, they have live entertainment, and they have a pretty decent size kids menu. When I took my niece we did TREX at her request. They we browse the lego store and the once upon a toy .. if we aren't on the dining plan we sometimes grab dinner, shop around and then split a dessert at Ghiradeli :goodvibes

Another possibility would be to take the bus to Animal Kingdom Lodge and eat at Sanaa - it has a great view of the Savannah and the animals roaming around. It's also super fun to explore the resort. We loved our experience here:)
