DH and I are already eating at:
La Hacienda (loved it)
Coral Reef (haven't been in years)
Via Napoli (like it)

Where would you eat - we've got 1 more dinner to plan:
Garden Grill (seen the mixed reviews, but we've never been)
Teppan Edo (we like - but know it's "standard" hibachi)
Biergarten (we like)
Rose & Crown (haven't been in years)
Tokyo Dining (haven't been, but don't like sushi)
Tutto Italia (I've been boycotting b/c I miss Alfredo's)

(DH won't do Akershus; we really didn't like Les Chefs de France or San Angel last time; Bistro de Paris we're saving for New Year's)

Thanks!!

We ate at Rose and Crown and really liked it! I'd go back there next time, definitely. Of your choices, I'd also go for Biergarten or Garden Grill.

The Rose & Crown has really improved recently, we just loved our last meal there. I also like Le Chefs de France.

Haha-my son and I have been banning Tutto because of Alfredo's closing too :confused3

The menu at Rose and Crown looks better-haven't been in years. :thumbsup2

I know it's not on your list but we really like Le Cellier for lunch or walk thru the international gateway to one of the Boardwalk resorts for dinner. We love Cape May clambake @ the Beach club and the Boardwalk bakery for dessert after :goodvibes

Have a great trip!!

We tried Garden Grill in December 2010 and really liked it. We waited a little longer than I'd like considering we had 2 small kids with us, but hot food was brought to our table quickly.

The character interaction was fairly long and gave the kids a good chance to say hi without feeling too rushed.

Interesting that several of y'all have said this! I'd written it off ages ago, but if its menu has improved . . . .

Yes, still really annoyed about Alfredo's. :sad2:

Well, we're looking for dinner and we all know how tough Le C is for dinner. :) And I know the Epcot resorts have some great choices . . . I'm just not willing to walk out of the parks for this day . . . with the DxDP and 3 TS meals on 2 of our days, don't want to waste any more park time! :)

Just you and DH? I'd recommend Biergarten or R&C. Weighted a little towards Biergarten. Food at Coral Reef seems to be hit-and-miss any more; would hate for you to get a "miss" there and then also be taking a big chance another night on R&C. Food at Biergarten is good, as are the adult beverages, and the whole meal is just a fun experience.

R&C!!

Last year, I somehow missed that you could walk through some gateway to Boardwalk resorts... hmm.

O right....I wouldn't do LC for dinner-too crazy!! I would try Rose and Crown or Tutto I think.:)

I would do Tutto or Biergarten. If you really like meat & sausages, do Biergarten, if you want a more subdued atmosphere & a non-buffet, I'd do Tutto.

We really like tutto! We have been 3 times and have never had a bad meal. We go with a party of 7 and everyone is always happy :thumbsup2

I would say Biergarten or Rose and Crown, which I am hoping to egt to try this time. DH loved Biergarten and I plan to book it for him, since it is his only request.

Biergarden is a must every trip for us ... as is Teppan Edo - both very fun for the kids.

My humble opinions ....

Coral Reef was fantastic - the surprise of our trip - in 2008. In 2009 ? Terrible. Poorly cooked food, drastically overcrowded and they booked our party of 14 and split us all into tables of 4 or 5 (which they hadn't warned us about when we made the reservation). It's a real crapshoot here.

Rose and Crown is good, but I'm usually happy getting lunch in the pub there - last time we were there (July 2009) they sat our large party outside at 6pm and we all got heat stroke and sunburns. I'm done with wasting a dinner on R&C.

I tried Tutto after the switchover and found it drastically lacking, and unreasonably expensive for what you get. I'd much rather walk over to the Swan and eat at Il Mulino for our Italian fix.

Have you considered Nine Dragons ? We ate there shortly after the remodeling in 2009 and was really surprised at how good it was. Very accommodating and a very loud, but fun, atmosphere.

I would book Rose and Crown for about 8pm, ask for an outside table, and stay to watch Illuminations.

ETA - Really, if you just get yourself a map, close your eyes, and put your finger down, you'll find a good place!!

Pretty strong showing for R&C! Maybe I can actually get DH to look at the menus and see what he thinks . . . then, I don't have to hear about him not liking the menu when we get there and asking why I picked this place? (To which I reply, hey, when you don't want to help me plan and say it's too far away to think about, then you get what I want!)

It would be an early dinner before heading to DHS, so R&C for Illuminations wouldn't work. Somehow I think I'd be more tempted to try it that way . . . .

I've read both CR and GG can be hit or miss. With the DxDP for the 1st time, I don't mind trying some new ones. At least the atmosphere of both should be fun.

I'll float Biergarten by him again . . . I don't think he liked it as much as I did the last time.

Of your choices left I would do Biergarden.

The others are all ok to good food except we hated Garden Grill it wasn't awful but I had much higher expectations for a place that serves 'fresh' from the Land dishes. Very bland and just ok. Definately not worth the prices and that's saying alot cmoing from me, considering THE mouse makes an appearance. I'll usually tack on another $10-15 to a meal without a second thought to not have to stand in line to see Mickey, but this meal even with adding in that it wasn't worth it.
