Obviously the character meals. We have Crystal Palace and Akershus scheduled already and will probably do at least one more. But I'm thinking about the other places like perhaps Coral Reef for the tank? Or T-Rex for the dinosaurs?

Would love some suggestions! This is the first time going with her at an age where she really might enjoy one place over another. :thumbsup2

The first 2 times we took our DD she was 3 and she loved eating at Cinderella's castle, California Grill, Whispering Canyon Cafe, and Crystal Palace

Thanks! Can't get Cinderella's Castle and not sure I'll be able to snag it. Did WCC last year (hoot!) and love CP. What did your DD love about CG?

DS adored T-Rex. The food was surprisingly good.

My kids are a bit older now, but thinking back...

1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian
Rainforest Cafe at DTD
Dinner Shows (Hoop-Dee-Do)
Garden Grill @ Epcot The Land
Whispering Canyon Cafe @ Wilderness Lodge
Sci-Fi @ Hollywood Studios (cool atmosphere - but I warn you - food not so great)
Beaches & Cream (Ice Cream @ Beach Club Resort)
Boma is fantastic - food may be exotic for a 3 yr old - but they have a great kids buffet bar with standard kid fare (chicken fingers, mac-n-cheese) and you can walk around the resort afterwards - my girls really enjoyed that
California Grill @ top of Contemporary is great location for dinner to see the fireworks @ the castle - but it is a bit upscale - we waited until the kids were older
We are trying Coral Reef in May!

The places my 3 year old loved on our September trip:

--Crystal Palace. Mostly because of the characters http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5YwlNrUkuEU but I see you're already planning that one.

--Sci-Fi Dine-in

--Coral Reef

She was neutral about the other places we ate (Liberty Tree, Tony's, Le Cellier, Yak and Yeti, Tusker House)

My DD loved Beaches & Cream at that age. She also loves Sci-Fi but she was closer to 4 the first time we went there but I think she would've been okay at 3 too.

When my son was three, he loved the show at Teppan Edo, the Japanese Steakhouse in epcot. He also liked Crystal Palace and Chef Mickeys. Tony's townsquare was always a hit as well- what kid doesnt like Italian food?

DS loved:

1. Chef Mickeys
2. Crystal Palace
3. Tusker House
4. Cape Mae Cafe
5. Ohana
6. Sci-Fi

DD loved:

1. CRT
2. Arkeshus
3. Chef Mickeys
4. Cape Mae Cafe
5. Ohana
6. Coral Reef

BTW, keep trying for CRT. If you call from time to time and/or check on-line frequently you might be able to snag it. It also doesn't hurt to try for a walk up. Have fun planning! :goodvibes

Also, for CRT, you may have better luck getting a ressie if you opt for off-times, when most people arent eating. But, people DO cancel, especially in the few days before, due to the credit card charge if you dont show, so keep checking! If you havent dined there before, I highly reccomend booking for breakfast as opposed to lunch or dinner..... the food is much better, as is the character interaction.

1900 Park Fare is a riot for dinner! Cinderella, the Stepsisters, stepmother, and prince charming are all there, and they generally are a lot of fun! I think the food is a lot better here than at CRT as well.

My kids love dinner at Coral Reef, Biergarten, and the Castle (dd's 3rd birthday and we ordered the slipper dessert, so so good! :thumbsup2). They loved all Breakfast buffets we did with the characters but those are the dinners they really enjoyed.

We were there last winter with DD5 and DD2.5 and they both loved Biergarten. We were there during the show and they got to go down and dance. There was singing and some cool instruments, plus a lot of general silliness. We liked it because it was really different from a lot of the other restaurants. It is at the top of our list for a repeat this summer. Our only worry is that it won't live up to our memory of it.

Hi there, I was also wondering about your DD loving the California Grill. I booked it for our trip but found out that the meal from start to finish is close to 2 hours, and there is no way under usual circumstances my DD would ever sit that long...what was your experience like with your DD?

DS loved all the character meals. His other favorites where Ohana's (dinner) and Biergarten. He had a great time getting up and joining the fun at both these places. He is not shy at all and loves joining in. He also really liked the GF Tea but I think that was because of our fantastic server. She was so sweet with him. He even invited her back to the hotel for a swim. LOL

My 3yo son loved Sci-fi, Chef Mickeys, Ohana, 1900 Park Fair dinner (he was selected to dance with cinderella :cloud9:)

He absolutely hated T-Rex. He was scared the whole time. It was loud and dark. The only saving grace was that he was seated next to a baby dinosaur and we told him it was his mission to protect the baby from the meteor showers. :rotfl:

My 3 year old DD absolutely loves Biergarten. She ranks it right up there with CRT and Akershus as her absolute favorite places to eat at WDW. That's saying a lot because we have done several other character meals. She loves getting on the dance floor during the show. I have a friend whose son absolutely adored Biergarten on their trip too.

Great ideas! I hadn't thought about Biergarten. I went on a past trip and didn't like the buffet..too meaty. But I know my DH will love it. I may consider this one! Is there a schedule for when they come out and entertain?

I was able to snag CRT by looking at an off-time (thanks for the tip!).

I think DD will enjoy Sci-fi so we may try that one as well. And she loves to eat Japanese at home so we may do Teppan Edo if we are in the mood for that type of food.

Thanks again for all the tips! :thumbsup2

DD loves the princesses. So CRT was her favorite! She requested we eat there again in May. She also really liked Akershus, Crystal Palace, and Chef Mickey's. She was super excited at Chef Mickey's so try for that one. Also, 1900 Park Fare breakfast she had a good time at. She didn't really like Sci-Fi. Teppan Edo & 'Ohana dinner were just ok for her.

According to the Steve Soares website the current schedule for Biergarten shows is 1:15, 2:15, 3:15, 4:45, 5:55, 7:00 & 8:05pm. We were at Biergarten for lunch in May 2009 and again in December 2009, and I know at least the 1st showtime was the same on both those trips, so I don't think the schedule changes much.
