Where do you stay with 2 adults and 3 kids?

We recently took our first trip to Disney in Sept. We stayed at ASM in a regular room as we had two adults and three children ages 7, 5, and under 2. I'm thinking about our next trip already since we had SUCH a good time. My biggest question is with three kids who by then will probably all be over the age of 3 and thus considered a person, what are our room options? We're on a tight budget and I need to look into the most economical solution. I doubt I would want to get two adjoining rooms as I wouldn't feel comfortable with the girls sleeping in their "own" room when the oldest will only be around 9, and dh and I really prefer to sleep together! What are the maximum capacities per room at the different resorts? How much would I be looking at spending for the room? We did this trip so cheaply since we had one "free" kid and free dining and decent airfare prices, that I'm getting paranoid about how much more we might be spending to return. But now I'm hooked so gotta start saving! Thanks!

POR is a moderate and you could have 5 to a room. They have a trundle bed. We stayed at POR in May and then POP in Sept. The price difference was about $500 more to stay at POR total for 7 days.

I'm guessing POR is cheaper than the suite at the All Stars, but I'm not 100% sure. I would call Disney direct and have them quote you both rooms.

POR is a wonderful resort & very relaxing. They have a boat to Downtown Disney which is a nice change from the buses too. They have a main pool with a slide & a bunch of quiet pools throughout the resort.

Hope that helps a little bit. Good luck!

POR is cheaper than the suites at ASM. Our family of 5 ( kids ages 12, 7, and 5 ) stayed at POR in January and really enjoyed it. The pullout trundle bed was the perfect size for our 5-year old daughter. Beautiful resort, and came out slighly less than 2 rooms at a value resort with our AAA discount. We had a package deal so I'm not sure of exactly what the room price came out to, but the room goes for about $150, and then we got a 20% discount off that for going in value season.
There are many more options that cost much more money. Without a doubt, your 3 cheapest options are POR, ASM family suite, or 2 standard rooms at a value. We preferred POR so that we knew we would all be together.
As the previous poster mentioned, POR is beautiful! Great landscaping, lots of things to do, nice food court, great pool, etc. Great choice for a family, and more relaxing then the values!:thumbsup2

We've stayed with 2 value rooms. I was told that when there are more kids than adults, they really try to get you adjoining rooms. The door opens between them and makes it like 1 bigger room. It is nice to have the extra bathroom too.

We stayed at CR and Poly because the deluxe resorts sleep 5. We've also
done WL because of the bunk beds. I've never stayed in the cabins at FW
but I think that would be a good bet also. Plenty of room and a kitchen! :thumbsup2

with the door that can stay permanently open between them, I'm not sure why that would concern you about your daughters sleeping in their "own room." Isn't much different then them having their own bedrooms at home. I personally like this idea the best as it seems like you get the most space.

POR with the trundle bed is most economical. Some deluxes allow 5 (Poly), but, unless you have a code or annual pass, they are $$$. (disregard header--I realize 5th wil be over 3).
