Where do you stay when going to Discovery Cove & Aquatica?

Trying to plan a last-minute vacation (like next week!), and thinking about doing something other than Disney. We've never stayed anywhere other than Disney resorts when in Orlando. So where are some nice places, close to DC & Aquatica? Also, will it be too cold to do Aquatica late next week, into the first of March?

There are tons of options, depending on your criteria.

What are you looking for in accommodations?

Space? Separate bedrooms? Proximity to the parks? Free wifi or parking? A great pool? Included breakfast? A resort/condo type property or standard hotel? And what is your price point?

Close to DC & SeaWorld would be great. We have 6 people, so a suite would be wonderful, but we could also do 2 adjoining rooms. The lady I spoke to at DC today mentioned something about their partner hotels having a Quick Que pass for SeaWorld. I would love to get a place for $200ish per night.

Check out the Residence Inn Seaworld. I don't know your exact dates, but i just ran February 22nd to March 1st, and they have a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom suite with a full kitchen for $197 a night. We've stayed there, and its a great property. They have an excellent hot and cold breakfast buffet, which is included with your stay. Internet is free. Parking is free. There's an outdoor sport court with basketball nets, a large hot tub, and a zero entry pool. Plus, is an official hotel of SeaWorld, so you get free shuttles to the parks, free Quick Queue (front of the line passes) at SeaWorld, and free signature show seating.

I have a ton of photos of this hotel in my December 2012 trip report. Click on the link in my signature.

Wow, that sounds great!!! I'll go check it out now. Our dates are approx. 2-26 thru 3-5. :).

Just got back from a week down there stayed at the Marriott Cypress Harbor and it was amazing. Great place, literally walking distance to SeaWorld and Discovery Cove (we never did but it's less than a mile away) and the resort was beautiful. Paid about your budget for a 2BR discounted. Check it out before you book...

I will check that one out! Thank you!! We've decided to change our dates to 3/9-3/16, so I feel like I can breathe a little more now. :)

I'm staying at the Hilton Grand Vacation Club Sea World this upcoming May. The place looks great online and it *might* be walking distance from SW and DC.
