Now just four mths or so till I go, really starting to picture the first night and what I look forward to. Arrive in WDW drop luggage off, shower and head to Raglan Road and try take in everything!!

What does everyone else do on the first night or day??:cool1:

We do pretty much what you've jusat said - get to hotel, settle in, unpack, go for something to eat, then come back, watch a bit of telly and go to bed :) We usually manage to last until about 10 pm, then I'm usually up again about 3 or 4 in the morning :rotfl:

Same here - arrive at resort, wash and change, then out to the parks. Previously we have met friends in MK and stayed until closing. Being with friends helps to take your mind of what time it is in the UK LOL

Last trip, we headed into Epcot and had a counter service meal from the American showcase. We planned to stay and catch Illuminations but we were just too tired - must be old age catching us up :)
So we returned to the Dolphin, grabbed drinks in our refillable mugs and watch TV in our room. We did watch Illuminations out of our room window though :)

After unpacking we head to DTD where we grab a bite to eat before hitting the shops. Anything to stay awake. When we get back to the hotel we will have a look around then some telly before sleep.

Normally depends on where we stay, generally it's been a villa so we just tend to unpack and I go to Publix.
Joshua is usually exhausted after the long flight.

Recently we have found staying at the Hyatt MCO hotel the 1st night a big plus , no need for rushing around, plenty of restaurants available and Josh can have something to eat and an early night! Just find it works for us, not everyone's idea of doing it.

We're not sure what we're going to do this time as our kiddiewinkles will be 7 and 4. So we'll need to just play things by ear. Though I do plan to buy snacks for the next morning if we have a 3am wakeup.

Last two years we stayed just around the corner from Sea World so dumped luggage and headed straight to this park. The excitement of being in the park helped alleviate any tiredness we felt from being up since 2.30 am. We stayed in the park till 10 pm then headed back to the hotel, going to sleep at 11 pm. By doing this we have banished the wake up early the next day problem which we experienced on our other holidays.

This year staying at the Royal Pacific so thankfully will not need to drive any where and will just walk to Universal and chill out there.

Unpack quickly and then straight to Epcot, listen to Off Kilter then fish and chips from the kiosk eaten in the garden behind UK and then watch Illuminations before heading back for bed :)

We usually check-in, unpack and rush to a theme park to eat. Unfortunately I think this will be changing, as with 2 teenage girls, they'll be itching to get to some shops first :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

This is our first trip so not sure what to expect with regards to the flight, we will probably just get some dinner and stay at the resort for the eveing so we can get up early the next day to go to Animal Kingdom, my DD can't wait to go to this park.

Probably drive to the resort and force myself to stay up and have some dinner in the food court/explore a bit. I'm always tempted to sleep and usually have the tail end of travel sickness too but i've got some new medication to try this year so i'm hoping I won't suffer as badly with it.
