I'm just to the left of Malcom X

I want government to stay our of our bedrooms, spend less time making sure kids can pray in school and spend more time making sure their mom and dad have health insurance.

Oh yeah! Can I get an "AMEN?"

I'm a moderate as well. Since moderate was not one of the choices, I selected conservative Democrat.

I am a social liberal (pro-choice, anti-capital punishment, pro-gay marriage, pro-gun control) and fiscal conservative (support abolition of estate tax, anti-union, curbs on spending, low taxes).

Have you looked at the Libertarian platform? Seems like you would find a comfortable fit there in most areas.

Proudly registered No Party, so I chose Independent.

None of the parties have all the right answers (only I do, hahahahaha j/k )

Well, I used to consider myself to be a Republican. But, somewhere along the way, they IMO have become too tied to the conservative religious nut jobs and the party has gone to heck in a handbasket. I still have a huge amount of respect for Ronald Reagan. I used to say that one of my biggest life regrets was that I was too young to vote for him in his last presidental race. I will say that I hated his entire handling of the AIDS crisis, but his foreign policy overall was excellent. I have not cared much for either Bush, but the elder was definately the better leader of the two.

I find that the majority of the social policies of the Democrats are ok, but they do spend too much on fluff programs that continue to support a segment of the population that really needs to find a sense of self worth and personal responsibility and get out there and take care of themselves. But, I am much happier with their tendencies to allow for more personal freedoms, like gay marriage. I didn't like Clinton or Carter.

I really don't have a party that is 100% of what I consider that my views are. I vote for the candidate that slings the least amount of mud in negative ads that seems like he/she has policies that are good for the nation as a whole first and good for me and my family second. Maggie

I called myself Independent. I tend to have Conservative leanings when it comes to financial matters but I'm definitely Liberal when it comes to people. I often have to compromise with myself.
