Just don't see adding on now that we have AKV.

However, we have enjoyed our stays at CR and would certainly like staying at a CRV.

Same for us.

Where do I stand on CRV? I would not join any organization that would have me as a member. :) Actually, I don't intend on buying in there.

I must be having a slow day as I do not understand your comment. Wouldn't the ability to walk ease the congestion on the monorail and boats?

This is, IMHO, an example of people not thinking through all of the implications of projects. Let's just say that there are likely to be a lot of unhappy people and a lot more gaming of the system and/or reduction in perks for DVC members unless such a barrier were to be built. They already have a problem at CR that will get much, much worse with a DVC resort there (not the same problem as if the resort building were a non-DVC building).

O-kaaaay.

So for the benefit of those of us who apparently aren't thinking straight, would you care to enlighten us?

I will for sure by there! CR is the resort that epitomizes Disney to me, its where we spent all my childhood vacations and I love it to death. You can certainly count me in as a future CRV owner! :cool1:

I still don't get it. Why would anyone want a barrier there? Why is it any different than walking to Epcot from BCV/BWV?

it's not.

I think some people don't like the CR but are jealous of the walking path to the MK.

CR lately has refused to allow non-CR guest to park here and walk over. That will get your car towed.

I will definitely buy!!!! waited almost 15 years for a DVC monrail and I am not about to let it pass me by.

if it is built and is a DVC, I will buy it!

and again more negatives. I certainly don't understand that attitude. Again if you aren't interested in the CR - please do not reply or even read anything that has CRV in it. Thank you.

People who love CRV love it. People who don't like it - feel the need to KEPT saying they don't like it.

Won't buy. I don't anticipate staying at CRV, either. I wouldn't say "never," buy I'd say unlikely.

GFV would be another story entirely.

.... If they built a barrier cutting off walking access to MK, then you might even things out and avoid some of the problems.

This doesn't seem to work very well for Israel. What would it accomplish at WDW?

I would not buy even if it was true ..:thumbsup2

Beside they would be in presales by this time and they are not it is just a hotel expansion :rotfl2:

While the location is appealing the theme of CRV is a complete turn off to me. However, I would LOVE to add on even more at AKV, now that I've seen how it is going to look I'm in love

Sometimes it's just not appropriate to connect the dots. This happens to be one of those times. Look at the recurring threads over the years and you will figure out why this is such a HUGE issue, including one current thread on these boards. I understand why people would be excited by this, but this is one of the single WORST locations that DVC could open a resort because of these issues.

Out with it man! This isn't 20 questions. :rotfl2:

Seriously, Voted for the stay but not buy there. And that's not because we'd dislike it. In fact, if we were in the market for more WDW points I'd buy there eagerly over AKV. We're done buying points at WDW is the main fact, we have enough to well meet our needs there. IF DVC were to put up a resort in another location, and it was something appealing to us we'd consider it, esp some of the rumours floating around.

Add me to the will stay there but won't buy option. I would definitely be interested in staying there but I don't see myself wanting it as a home resort.

Of course, my thoughts could change once I stayed there....

would probably stay a few times, but i don't really need any points right now. here's hoping it comes through for those really wishing thoughpixiedust:

My thoughts exactly. And all of the resorts are restricted for resort guest parking and not for use by those looking to walk to a park. So I still don't see the need for a barrier.

On another note, I wish they had completed the brick pathway around the lake. That would have been a great feature.

I still come down to a preference to visit rather than own.

point out the thread please.

because I have no idea of what you are talking about.

the plumbing issue that CR has - will not be at the new building.

walking to the MK is fine. there is a traffic light to stop the traffic. now if some nuts go across it against the light. that is no reason to stop this walkway.

dd has a much worst problems that the MK ever could. too many people there just run across the road in front of traffic.

the only traffic that should be going pass this light is the CM.
