Where do you shop for your kids clothes?

I shop everywhere!

High end children's boutiques.. when he was younger I would buy full price , he was a slow grower so we got usually at least a year out of everything lol.
Dept stores, Target, Ragsland or Oriental Expressed at home parties, Gap, Old Navy just about anywhere that has clearance. Oh and EBAY of course.

When he was younger and I worked I spent quite a bit on him. Now that he is older and I dont work I shop clearance everywhere even at the high end childrens shops. I have bought great church outfits for 15 - 20 a set.

Im not a fan of Walmart clothes, dont seem to hold up and I agree with whoever said the Gap navy blue polos FADE like crazy!

I buy Class Club from Dillards for Navy Blue polos for uniforms, no fading or pulling at all. I bought some target blue polos on clearance for like $2 last yr, looks like trash after a cpl of months. His Class club ones looked great all year. They run 9.99 a piece, the shorts and pants also hold up so well!

Good to know, Thats what DD needs this year!!

Ok, our kids sound alike. My boys will put holes in the knees in no time flat. Tell me about the Kidvantage program.

Thanks!

They should hire me to do a clothing commercial for Sears. I talk about how much I love that store so often! :rotfl:

When you sign up for Kidvantage at Sears (free program) they guarantee all their children's clothes and shoes...your kids will grow out of the clothes before the clothes wear out.

Now if your kids are like mine, you know for a fact they will wear out before they grow out of them! So this is a program I can't pass up. It's such a good deal, I almost feel guilty taking advantage of it. :thumbsup2

I take the worn out item back to the store and and they let me pick up a brand new one to take home. If it's the Sears brand clothes you don't need to save the receipt. If it's name brand, they say you need a receipt. However, when I brought in our Sketchers sneakers a few months ago and offered the sales clerk the receipt, the guy told me he didn't even need to see it.

If they don't have the exact same item they give you a similar one in the same size. That happened with the Sketchers sneakers I bought (on clearance!). When I returned a few months later with the shoes to exchange they didn't have the style anymore so they gave us a newer model in the same size.

pretty much everywhere there is a sale:confused3

dd loves Justice so most of her clothing come from there. Just bought 8 pieces today for $60 that will start her off with school. I got my $25 bucks to go back and buy her some of the new clothing line in august when that goes on sale.;) she loves Macys and Penneys. I will pick up up clothing also at supertarget when its on sale also.

ds is easier and normally I find clothing at children's place and supertarget. I wait till the sales are on at gymboree and buy for him there also. dd doesnt like gymboree anymore so I just focus on him there now.

DD is in juniors now so I shop for her at Aeropostale, American Eagle and LOVE Plato's Closet (a tip I got from the disboards). My oldest DS is hard to shop for this year, he's starting junior high and likes the junior clothes, but he's too small to wear them. I've found a few things at JcPenney and Old Navy and Gap outlet for jeans.

When my other boys need clothes it's mostly Children's Place and Old Navy, and I got some Gymbo and Crazy 8 on clearance this year.

My 3 younger boys actually hardly need any clothes this year. I go through each boy's closet and have them try on their clothes starting the oldest to youngest and pass down clothes to the next boy. Thankfully none of my kids have any hang-ups about hand me downs. My oldest passes down to my 8yo and my 10yo passes down to my 5yo because I have two in slims and two in regulars. I think that helps keep the clothes from being too worn out to pass down.

ETA: I get DD some clothes at Kohl's as well, but I tried getting DS5 some of their "Jumping Beans" stuff for this summer and it literally fell apart after ONE wash. The shorts snagged up all over and the kangaroo pocket on the shirt started falling off and left holes in the shirt. I was really disappointed.

I just have a toddler, and she's in FT daycare. So we need low cost playclothes 5 days a week, plus cute clothes for the weekend. I buy most of the daycare clothes at Target - try to catch them on sale or clearance rack. DD comes home so messy from daycare - no matter what I do stuff just ends up stained, so I try to spend as little as possible. If I have a coupon, I'll shop Kohl's.
For her weekend clothes, we do sale/clearance Gymboree stuff.
Until she was 12 or 18 months, we put her in a lot of Carter's brand. Still use them for PJs, knit pants and casual summer dresses.

We get most of DD9 clothes at Justice. They have a awesome sale now--40% off entire store and for every $50 you spend, you get $25 off a $50 purchase and $15 off $40 purchase. (cards for future purchases):):):)

How do the justice clothes run? my dd8 is very long torsoed and most clothes are short on her :( Old navy and the gap seem to be the best for her. Gymboree and Crazy 8 are WAY to short for her to wear out of the house!

Well I always shop Gap & Gymboree, but I never pay retail.

This.

this year K has a uniform so I have to shop at Lands End and Flynn and O'Hara $$$$$$

I am going to try and hold off on LE until they have free monogramming so I can avoid paying an extra $5.50 per polo! But at least they take $2.50 off per shirt if you buy at least 2.

I went to justice this weekend and bought 3 outfits for 12.00 each I thought I did pretty good. I did get a bathings suit there for 12.00 for my oldest. I went to baby gap for my youngest and got 3 outfits and a bathing suit for 50.00. Not as good as others but I did good for me. I also hit TCP. I need to work on fall clothes now.
