Where do you keep the suitcases, strollers, etc when not in use with 3 kids, 2 stroller, pack and play I am thinking we won't have much room in our hotel room.

We also have 3 kids all under 5 last time we went. We had a ton of stuff.

1. Suitcases - use suitcases that fit inside each other when unpacked. We unpack everything into drawers and put the suitcases inside each other.

2. Strollers - we took a double unmbrella and a single umbrella - fold them up and put them in a corner by the door.

3. Pack and play - I am not sure on the ago of your child but we had a little one that was able to sleep on the trundle bed nicely. I am not sure where you are staying but the POR has a great trundle bed that pulls out from under the other bed and works great. We put our youngest on that (she was 2) with pillows and she was great. She was so tired she did not move.

4. I would really recommend staying at a moderate resort (or better if it is an option) the budget resorts are TIGHT for a family of three.

Have a great trip - your kids will love it.

PS - always plan a mid day nap - it is a lifesaver with 3 little ones (if they are small).

I guess it all depends on where you are staying. We are a family of 5 and typcially have enough room in the closet to stow our suitcase we also use duffle bags on wheels and can collaspe them pretty small once they are empty. The pack and play normally go in a corner where it is out of the way and the stroller usually just sits by the door. Take comfort in knowing you won't spend a ton of time in your room! Have a fabulous time!

As the pp pointed out, unpacking your suitcases to 'nest' them in each other helps alot. If there was anything I brought extras of that I thought we might not need, I left that in the smallest suitcase to save the clutter. Get a couple of pop up hampers to keep dirty clothes from piling up around the room & get an hanging pocket organizer (usually made for shoes) at the dollar store to store small stuff. Bring extra hangers in case there is not enough space in the drawers. Sometimes finding places for all the small stuff will leave you more room for the other stuff.

We stayed in a value resort and we had plenty of room. We had a pack n play set up against the wall next to the tv entertainment center and most of the time we left the stroller unfolded by the door. After unpacking the suitcases I put them inside each other and stashed it at the back of the closet area. We also put a bunch of stuff on the shelf over the closet area. If your strollers fold like an umbrella style, you may be able to lay them on the small area between the bed & the wall. HTH!!:goodvibes

We are staying at POFQ the little one is 20 months I just think he would sleep better contained. I am hoping he and the his sisters 6 & 3 are so tired they just fall asleep we have never stayed in a hotel with the kids and all shared a room.

We stay at Disney every year for a competition, so even though there are only 3 of us we have a lot of extra things (2 large suitcases full!) for that alone, and many of these items must be unpacked and hung up. And we always stay at All-Star Music.

The nesting suitcases are a must. These are piled in the closet next to the vanity, where we would probably not hang clothes in any case. We leave the top ones unzipped for laundry and items we rarely use. We also use the shelf above the closet area for any bulky folded items (such as sweaters).

We also try to use the areas under the vanity, behind the table and behind the door as much as possible. We actually find it best to move the table to the corner of the room by the window.

I have not stayed in the other resorts myself, but we have travelled for competitions to many other cities. I can tell you, no matter how big the hotel room is, you have to use the space wisely. I wouldn't move to a larger room if you are staying in a value resort, but would request a room on the first floor so that you are able to spend more time outside (and won't have to carry strollers and children down the stairs).

We had a family of 5 in a value room and we had plenty of space.
The suitcases fit up on the top shelf near the bathroom. We put a folding hamper on the floor there and that's also where we kept all the shoes. All the kids clothes were in ziplock baggies in the dresser.

We slid the furniture down the wall when we got there. We put the table closest to the bathroom with the dresser/tv stand pushed up against it. Then the pack'n'play pushed up to that. We had enough room to park two strollers still on that wall (we did not fold them up) and put a cooler with our drinks in it. We had a second cooler under the table and our food/plates/etc were in a box siting on the table. We left one chair at the table. The other one was in the corner between the bed and the wall.

I agree with all the PPs- nesting suitcases! And all bags get emptied too and put inside of those too. They then get stack in closet or on the closet "shelf" if at a value.

Bring a hanging shoe organizer (actually bring too)- one for shoes and one for your other stuff (hang by sink for hair stuff, toiletries, etc. and even hats, sunglasses)

Strollers should fit by door- you may have to fold them up, but our's have always fit left open.

You definately can do it, it just may take some creativity and a little bit of moving stuff around. Have fun!

We stayed at All Satr Movies in Sept (family of 5) and did not feel the least bit "crowded". It is a hotel room, not a closet!
First, we pushed the table up in front of the windows. Then in the space next to the entertainment unit (where the table had been) we put DS4s airbed.
Then we pushed one bed up to the wall and put DD5s airbed between the beds. During the day, it was stacked on top of DS's airbed. Then, with the bed against the wall, DD2 slept between me and the wall.
Suitcases went under the sink area.
Stroller went parked in the closet area.
Pop up hamper went on the closet shelf for the dirty laundry.
I took pictures for the next time a deluxe-junkie tried to bash the all stars, but they are on my other computer!:cutie:

On a previous trip, with only 2 kids, and they were 2.5 and 1.5, we had one pack n play against the window, and one over in the closet area.

We stayed at AS Sports with 3 people (me and 2 kids). I put the suitcases on the wire shelf next to the sink. The pack n play was against the wall to the right of the TV. I brought a pop up dirty clothes hamper, that went in the corner next to the sink. The stroller stayed unfolded by the window. We had plenty of room! You just have to be a little organized. I remember one year my sister, her DH and 3 kids stayed in a connecting room next to us. Holy cow, their room was a MESS. They didn't unpack, they lived out of the suitcases for the week and it was pure chaos.

Thank you so much for this information. We purposely booked POR because of the trundle bed -- our 3 kids will be nearly 4 and the twins will be 26 months when we travel. We just transitioned the babies to toddler beds at home so they won't need pack-n-plays anymore -- the trundle will hopefully work for at least one of the 3 kids (the twins may share it as they have shared a bed before).

But we have been worried about the space and this gives us a few ideas to help us conserve the little bit of real estate we can.

Thanks again!

The POR trudle is not sharable. Is it perfect for one toddler / preschooler. We also have 3 kids and to avoid fights we bring 2 single aero beds that inflate and put them on the floor at the foot of the beds. They all like to have there own place. THey blow up and deflate in just a few minutes. It works great for us.

Have a nice trip. You wil be fine the POR rooms are a nice size and you can easily put 3 little kids in it with 2 adults.

I've heard some say they stack their suitcases under the sink in the bathroom to create a shelf for all that stuff you use like combs, hairdryer, toothpaste.

I bought one of those over the door vinyl organizers from Dollar Tree, hung it next to the sink and stuck all the toiletries in it. It worked out GREAT!
