Where do you live?

I was born and raised in the Bronx, NY. Then moved to Rockland county NY, now living in Orange county NY. We are now selling our house and going back to Rockland. We've moved alot. 3 different towns in Orange county and 3 different towns in Rockland. Our familyies call us gypsies!!!LOL Oh, and all that moving in those 2 counties was in a 6 year time period!

I'm originally from Hawaii, but I am now in Virginia. We could live anywhere in the world (hubby is a professional contract engineer who has had many international job offers, too, like in Montreal at Bombardier and has worked in NY, GA, FL, and TX), but we choose to live here because it's great - diversity, change of weather, education, historical sites, etc.

Nothing like being stuck in the suburbs. lol

Home is where your heart is... :wizard:

Born and raised in Minnesota~
Live in Richfield~about 2 miles from the Mall of America :sunny:

Born and raised in a suburb of Philadelphia, college in the Adironacks (COLD), 5 years in Wash DC/Northern VA, back to Philly area, and NOW 2 1/2 years in North East Orlando (30 miles from the mouse!)

I'm from Lexington, KY, but I've lived in:
Flat Rock, NC
Cincinnati, OH
Louisville, KY
Denali Park, AK
Oceano and Bakersfield, CA
Orlando, FL
Hampton Beach, NH
New Philadelphia and Westerville, OH
and London, England
I worked as a professional actor for several years and had to move around a lot. It was worth it, though!

Born and raised in Anoka, Minnesota, then did college in Appleton, WI, lived with my parents for a year when they moved to Redwood Falls, MN, then did grad school in La Crosse, WI. After Grad school I lived in La Crosse for another 7 years, then I got married and moved to my DH's location - San Jose, CA. What a change from the Midwest! I'm mostly adjusted, but it's still odd sometimes. DH would NEVER move to the Midwest (he's been spoiled by CA and is a total weather wimp), so I figure I'd better get used to it here! Who knows, maybe I'll loose my hearty MN blood and turn into a weather wimp, too! :rotfl:

We are moving to Hackensack NJ this week. From Pensacola FL.. COLD COLD weather... I am so not used to it! At least no Hurricanes though!
About a year ago I moved from Burbank CA. to Lake Ann MI. It's right near Traverse City and if you look at the "mitten" on a map it is near the top of the pinkie finger so it is very cold here too. Lots of snow today. Good luck to you! I still haven't gotten used to it. Sorry to say. The kids love it though and DH wants a snowmobile! :goodvibes

Charleston, SC! Can handle hurricanes, can't handle snow!

PS: I haven't seen either one since 1989! :thumbsup2

Born, raised and still live in Dover, NJ.

I did live in Greece for 1 year as a child.

Welcome to the $$ State :guilty:

Born in Brookly, NY
Raised in Centereach, Long Island, then
Detroit, MI
LaPuente, CA
Baldwin Park, CA
Romeo, MI
Sterling Heights, MI (hopefully for a long while....)

Best part of my life was in CA & also met my DH there  , loved the weather, the great friends I made, the scenery.....flowers alongside the freeways (compared to garbage alongside the freeways here in the Detroit area) but for now, it's a better place to raise kids.

My town sits between Busch Gardens and WDW. Not too bad a spot from all I read here on the Dis! :teeth:

Hey now. We aren't wimpy, we are just a little more particular about our temperatures. Anything above 60 and under 80 is just fine. :teeth:

I'm 20 miles south of San Francisco, just off the beautiful Junipero Serra Hwy.

I live in sunny so cali. In Anahiem actually right down the street from DL. Close enough to hear the fireworks nightly and see them from the second story of my home. I lived her in Anaheim my whole life, except during college when I moved over to the next city to be closer to the campus. I love it here and dont plan on moving ever. The weather is great and did I mention I can see the fireworks from my the second story of my home? Although traffic in the area stinks, I will deal with it.

You can look forward to great food and great shopping..and it is lovely here in the spring, summer and fall. The winter is something to get through, but it's usually not too bad.
Everything and anything you can want or need will be within a 20 minute drive.
