What is your favorite area to stay at when at CBR? I would think Jamaica would be my first choice and of course the Pirate rooms being my last pick. Is there still five bus stops or four?

I second Jamaica 45 or Aruba 51. We stayed in Jamaica 45 years ago and it was a quick walk to OPR and the pool. Now, its also a quick walk to the Skyliner station which is important to us.

Our favorite is Jamaica 45 then Aruba 51.

There are 6. One for each Village and one for Old Port Royale.
is one of thkse those at the Skyliner, or is that an additional regular stop?

I agree with everyone else. Jamaica or Aruba, especially now with the location of the Skyliner Station.
I stay a CBR even before the addition of the Skyliner and also like the quiet of Jamaica & Aruba also.

Are those rooms standard or preferred rooms?

If they get enough request for them, they could become preferred.
Anything is possible, but when they did the resort re-configuration a few years ago, the preferred rooms were labeled in Martinique and Trinidad North I believe. Those rooms are still the closest to Old Port Royale, which is generally the main factor for preferred.

That is true. We stayed in the Trinidad North section many, many years ago. If we get to stay here again I will just try to get a room in Jamaica.

Has anyone ever gotten an unexpected "upgrade" at check and placed in the pirate rooms? I would not consider such an upgrade and would be extremely mad if such happened. The beds in those rooms are not quite a queen size are they?

When can you make requests for a specific area? I have asked my TA to request a room away from the smoking areas as I thought that more important. But this may be #2. Also are there any sections that don't have 5th sleeper? That is our room type.

They are full size beds and its my understanding they are not very comfortable. Something about how the pirate ship bed frame isn't necessarily meant for that making for a stiff and uncomfortable platform. I would not be happy if I was moved to these rooms either, though I don't think anyone staying here in the foreseeable future will have to worry about that with the low capacity.

Your TA will need to call and ask the request be noted on your reservation. It can be done anytime, as long as its at least a week or a few days before check-in. To my knowledge, designated smoking areas are along the main pathways or in courtyards, well away from the rooms. If there's anything else you want as far as room location, I would make that request instead because I can't picture a room close enough to a smoking area where it would be problematic. You'll likely encounter smoking areas walking on resort pathways anyhow.

Are the pirate rooms the last to get booked most of the time? They just don't seem as popular to me as Disney wanted them to be.
