We are flying coach (4 of us) - so do you prefer to be in the front, near the wing, or in the back? Why?

DH and I like the exit row...more leg room.

whenever we fly Song (sniff) we liked rows 9 or 10.
first 2 rows when you board the plane.

rather be last on and first off! :)

seatguru.com

check the airline and the equipment you are on for seat sizes, etc.

Other than that, doesn't matter much, although there is a slight statistical advantage of survivability at front and at back, but not enough for me to worry about.

We also like the exit row, but REALLY like the front of the plane. When I'm at my destination, I want to get OFF of that plane!!

I always end up sitting in the back. Just works out that way. I've never been able to sit in the front since those seats are always taken. I don't like sitting over the wing because I can't see the ground, so that leaves me with the back. I suppose if i could choose, I would choose the front so that I can get off the plane ASAP, especially if I needed to clear customs.

Ideally, in the exit row. Otherwise, as close as possible to the exit. When that plane lands, I want OFF!

Usually more toward the front of the plane and aisle seat. Not a big fan of the back and if you sit to far back you always get the bathroom line in your face. Also you don't get off the plane quick enough. Aisle because I don't feel as cramped and I can get up to go to the bathroom without climbing over everyone next to me.

Nearer to the front of the plane, aisle seat. Without my DD, I like the emergency exit row, but with her I can't sit there...

I prefer the exit rows, since there's more legroom. But since we have kids now, we can't sit there. So, we go for the front of the plane. We always end up waiting for everyone else to get off the plane before we get off, just because we have so much crap, so it's not a matter of wanting to get off the plane ASAP. I'm just more comfortable up there.

I refuse to sit in the back of the plane. We got stuck in the last row coming home from Bermuda on our honeymoon because our original flight was cancelled. Man, did it suck back there - loud, stinky (right next to the bathroom), hot...is was miserable.

Not over the wing but any other seat where I can sit by the window and look out is fine with me.

We prefer close to the front, not over a wing if at all possible, exit rows are good...........I like being able to get off quickly..

I prefer in front of the wing as close to the front of the plane as I can get, window seat.

Ugh, I had one of those seats once on a flight back from WDW via Air Tran. My oldest son and I got stuck in the very last seats. There wasn't even a window to look out! Talk about feeling boxed in!

I usually like about 3/4 of way back if they load the plane rear to front. That way you get on early enough to have plenty of overhead room and you are fairly close to the rear bathrooms, but not right on top of them. I don't mind that it takes a few extra minutes to get off the plane because we always check bags and need to make a restroom stop, so by the time we get to baggage claim, we usually have a fairly short wait. If it is just DH and I, we will try for an exit row for extra leg room though.

We are not picky. As long as the seat is INSIDE the airplane, it is okay with us!

Number one thing is I like to have a window seat. I love looking out the window while flying.

Number two thing is I like sitting as close to the front as possible. The reason is the same as other’s……I want to hurry up and get to my destination.

If I am able to select my seats for a flight, I make sure I visit seatguru.com to check the seats. The only thing I really DON’T want is to be close to the bathrooms.

In a window seat as close to the front as possible. It lessens the "I'm at 33,000 feet flying in a big metal tube" feeling ;)

I like to sit in the aisle seat. I like to be able to get up as often as i want and not have to bother the person next to me.
