Where do you learn about new offers, AP or visa offers, etc?

Where do you learn about new discount offers?

Where do you first find out about general public offers. We're also Disney Visa card holders and bought annual passes (but just have the exchange card bought from the Disney Store for now) How do we be sure to find out about new offers as soon as they are released for these/Where are these offers posted? Aren't these discounts usually open a few days earlier than the general public offers? I'd like to take advantage of these earlier days if possible.

I've signed up with my e~mail address on the basic Disney website but don't seem to get anything in my e~mail about offers. We've been to Disney but never really "planned" so we're new to all of this. We have two 10-day trips coming up to plan and we want to do it "right" from now on, from the resorts to meals to attractions, etc.

Well, you're in the right place! There are several forums and threads that you can monitor which will give you the info as soon as its available. Also, you could make a point of checking the Disney website frequently. Another option is booking through a Disney Travel Agent who will monitor the discount availability for you and apply what is available to you that makes sense.
