Can you renew APs at guest services outside the gates or at City Hall or do you have to go to the AP center? We're going to renew in person as opposed to e-mail so that we can use our fun cards to help pay for the APs.
Thanks!

You can renew at guest services to the left of the DL turnstiles if you can use the current photo you have on file. As long as you don't need a new photo taken, then they will print you out a new AP right there at Guest Services. :)

Oh good. I was hoping I could do it there since there seems to be a shorter line there. One more question. If I want to renew DS's AP and he doesn't need a picture taken, does he have to be there or can I just renew it without him there? Okay, I lied, I have one more question: How often do they want kids to get their pictures retaken for the APs? I guess I'm just wondering if they want the photos updated often since kids change so quickly.

Not sure about the first - I had the same question but dragged my husband with me just in case and didn't have to find out.

As for the 2nd - my son finally asked for a new photo last year at age 12 - his photo was from when he was 5. They seemed perfectly happy just re-printing. You can get a new photo anytime - so if you want one, just go in when it's not busy.

I'm not sure that you couldn't enter the fun card numbers on the website - have you tried? You'll save a few extra $$.

Okay, so I guess we're good to go on the photos. I figured it would be fine but wasn't sure what they did for kids.

I asked a few weeks ago if you get the discount if you renew in person and was told that they still give you the discount. I didn't try entering the fun card number (only have one fun card until next month) but they seem to have so many restrictions on it that I didn't think you could use it online.

Just bumping to see if anyone knows if DS has to be present in order for me to renew his AP. I'm assuming not but wanted to double check.

We just renewed our AP last Sunday. I had my DD10 with me but they didn't ask to see her and she didn't stay by the window with me since it was too hot. (Big problems, took over 30 mins. to process)

I don't think you'll need DS there.

If you want to be absolutely sure, call the Annual Passport info line: 714-781-4567.

Thank you! :goodvibes I'm assuming they'll take my money whether DS is there or not but good to have a number to call too.

You can renew at the regular ticket booth too, which can sometimes be faster since there are more windows. :-)

If you aren't going to be at DLR anywhere around the time you need to renew, can you do it online? How does that work? Do they mail you a new card or what? What discount are you talking about? The 20.00 off?

Yeah, they send you an e-mail one month before your AP expires and they give you $20 off for renewing. I haven't done it before but there's a button on the e-mail that says "log in to renew now" so I guess it takes you to their website to do it. You wouldn't need the e-mail, you could just go to the AP section on the DL website but they won't let you renew until your exp date is a month away. I'm assuming they must mail you a new card but don't know for sure.

I've renewed online and you have the option of having them send your card to you or doing a will-call, where you pick it up. I always do will-call. On the pick-up instructions, they tell you go to to a ticket booth (from Downtown Disney side it's the booth all the way to the right). When I went to pick up my AP the booth was closed so I went to another one, and got my AP with no problem. They did ask for ID.

My daughter is 20, and her pic is from when she was 8 years old. The last time she renewed they told her that the next time she renewed she would need to get a new pic.
