I am at a loss at finding jeans that fit my dd that aren't too low in the rise where when she sits, her underwear or too much skin is showing. She does wear shirts that are long enough to cover, but I don't want her to have to keep pulling her shirt down, I just want her to have jeans that fit.
Of course my dh has deemed every pair inappropriate  so we are going on a quest to find the perfect jean this weekend. Since she has been in Jr sizes, we have purchased jeans from Aero, Kohls, JCP, Sears, and Hollister. I don't want to go to every store in the mall trying stuff on, but I don't know where to start, so I'm looking for any suggestions. Where do you guys shop for your dd's jeans?

All the places you just said:rotfl:

How about Gap? I like my jeans from there.
Or don't they have Levies at macy's?

I told dh that is just how they make jeans, and I'm not going to be able to find ones he is okay with. Its not like back in the 80's/90's where the waist was so high it covered your stomach and half of your rib cage

How about Delia's? My DD gets her jeans there and I even have a few pair I've gotten there.

We don't have a Delia's here, but I do get their catalog.

The only jeans that my DD will wear are the Miss Me. They fit her perfect and we don't have the issues of any showing. I know that they are kind of high, but I will say that they hold up well. I bought four pair for her last year and she is still wearing them this year so I feel good about that. They still fit perfect even though she has gotten taller. (we bought them long)

They still look new too! I wash them inside out and I do not dry them in the dryer.

I buy all of my jeans at Aero. If you go on their website, you can find jeans that don't have as low of a rise as the ones they carry in the stores. Have you tried American Eagle? My little sister shops there a lot. GAP is good, too, but I have only bought regular pants there, never tried the jeans.

Also, does your DD wear a belt? I find that a lot of my lower rise jeans fit better when I wear a belt. Junior's jeans tend to gap in the back especially when sitting down, but a belt takes care of that problem.

I have to get jeans for DD12 at GAP. It is nice because they have a lot of different fits to try.

My DD13 gets hers at Aeropostale, but she likes a lower cut jean.

She has tried on jeans at a LOT of stores (she has been in jr sizes only a few months and it was hard to find the right fit for her). We noticed Target jeans come in several different rises. She did not like them because they were too high cut for her taste.

Mine likes low cut, too. Although I had to drive her to school today, and as she was walking into the building, her sister commented that she needs longer sweatsirts. :rolleyes1

DD14 has been getting hers at either American Eagle, JCP's, or Gordman's. Some of her favorite jeans are actually cheapie jeans that we got at Gordman's for 11.99 to 14.99. Even being that cheap, they have lasted her for over a year now.

Not sure how much longer she's going to be in them. She doing that putting on weight before her heights shoots up thing again.

My DD16 just wears an undershirt that she tucks in since the jeans are all too low cut.
Lands End does sell some higher cut jeans.

Have you tried Lee Jeans? They are purposely designed not to gap in the back or be too low. They are at Kohls.

I just tease dd15 about when she is getting her plumbers certification!! :lmao:

Dd likes Bongo jeans from Sears and Miss Me jeans.

The Miss Me jeans do fit much better and are a great quality. The Bongo mimic them to a point but you can tell the difference in the quality. She doesn't have an issue with either brand showing too much skin.

She also has some from Aero but they just don't fit properly.

Thanks everyone, now at least I have some stores to start with. I think we'll start at Macy's and look for Miss Me's, and then head to Gap. Hopefully we will find something at one of those places.
Her problem is that she always was easy- slim and straight and we could find jeans that fit pretty easily. Now she has curves and needs a Jr. cut. I just hate that most of them have the real low waist. Aero fit her horribly and so does Hollister so I've been avoiding stores like A&E.
I wear Lee jeans because I like their waist and I did think of those for dd. I don't know if they have Jr sizes, but if they don't, I don't think dd will be caught wearing "mom" jeans

Aero jeans fit my teen very nicely, and aren't horribly low rise. We've also gotten some at JCP.

While I'm sure she'd like some Miss Me jeans, I'm not taking out a second mortgage. :lmao:

I don't normally spend alot of money on jeans for any of us, but dh said "I don't care what they cost, as long as the cover her".
He's having a hard time dealing with the fact that she isn't his little girl anymore :)
