Where do you get the information about opening dates and best way to book?

Our cruises have all been with DVC points. Can someone walk me through how to find out about opening prices, how to get the best price, and what are people talking about with booking the next cruise on the ship for a discount?

Well, reading the various threads here will answer most of those questions.

Onboard Booking - if you book a future cruise while onboard a cruise you can get a reduced deposit (on some itineraries) and a 10% discount on the cruise cost.

If you go to the DCL website and do a search for a cruise (you can select destination, date, departure port) to facilitate that search, it will show you available cruises and the cost for them.

Platinum was able to book October 1st
Gold October 2nd
Silver October 3rd
Open to everyone October 4th
When your Castaway Club level opens log onto the Disney Cruise website or call Disney

On the website there will be a pull down (three small lines on the top right) click on that.
This will show up scroll down and log in

DCL website has the information.

But the thread at the top of this forum, Quotes 2020 is keeping track of the bookings.
