I'm new at reading this board and I hear everyone talk about codes. What are they and where do I find them? I'm traveling in 2004-June and want to keep my eyes open

Also check this Sunday's paper. I read on here somewhere that there will be codes in the travel section. They normally run a full page ad.

Keep in mind that the available codes are not usually posted so far in advance. The prevailing wisdom seems to be to go ahead and book the room you want at regular prices, then watch for codes as travel time approaches. If you find a code, you can call WDW and ask for the appropriate price adjustment.

I found codes for my March trip around Christmastime and last Spring got codes for June/July. You can check Mousesavers for past codes to get an idea what the discounts have been like. There is a section called "past disounts" with a calendar that lets you "speculate." I have gotten Riverside for $109, Coronado Springs for $114 and Wilderness Lodge for $139.

Hope this helps...

and right here at the Dis has a discounts page as well.

the other poster was right, codes are only released a couple of months in advance and sometimes not at all - June 2004 is much to far away to hope for a code soon.
they should offer AAA rates though in the fall for next year - those are about 10% off reg. rates (codes are much better deal).
