Where do you eat meals at home?

We don’t have a table, no room for one. DH and I eat on the couch, kids eat at the counter (kitchen peninsula).

We have a dining room, but use it as a den since we also have a dining "nook." The nook is where the table is and we eat every meal we eat together at the table. DH eats at the table even when he eats by himself (Sheldon Cooper wannabe, so he has to sit at his eating spot) and I eat at the computer or in front of the tv if I am by myself. On rare occasions we sit at the breakfast bar for a meal, but if we are eating as a family (just dh and I now) we sit together with no electronics.

Kitchen table or island in the kitchen. Our family room is right next to our kitchen so we often watch TV while eating.

The kitchen table. The kitchen, the area for the kitchen table, and the Family room are one big room. TV is visible from the table. Once in a while we will eat on the couch but then we have to clean crumbs off the couch.
Our house was built with an area with two bar stools in the kitchen. Before we had kids we ate there. When we remodeled we took out the bar area and extended the kitchen cabinets.

Most of the time at the kitchen table. If more than 5, dining room. If alone or a snack some of us eat at the computer ( on the island) or at my desk lunch when working from home as I take breaks walking or house stuff.

Breakfast alone my DH and I in front of the TV. For me special “me” time is having dinner while watching a show or movie I have been looking forward to and make time to watch.

It’s just my husband and me at home - 99% of the time I eat at the kitchen table and my husband is split 50/50 between the kitchen table and in front of his TVs (yes, plural) in his man cave cause he likes to watch sports…

The kitchen table is the usual place, and on occasion the dining room table. The only times I remember eating in a family/living room were Super Bowl Sunday and New Year’s Eve.

Dinner is generally at my dining room table. Breakfast most likely at the island in my kitchen where I can watch the sun rise over the mountains (island has stools to sit at). Lunch often at my desk (assuming that I'm working from home).

In the UK we have an open plan kitchen, dining, living room.
We eat all meals at the dining table even when there are just the two of us.
There is only one television in the house and that rarely gets switched on until after dinner, so about 7pm.

In Spain we have a dining/living room and a separate kitchen.
Depending on the weather we eat all meals at the dining table or outside on the terrace.
Again, we only have one television which isn't used until after dinner.

5pm and Adam 12 is on MeTV in the Family Room with DW in her Easy Chair and I'm on the couch.

Dining room, TV off, only a phone or tablet if needed to discuss the next day’s schedule. We used to eat at the kitchen table until we turned that area into a mud room.

For my husband, daughter and i We eat dinner most nights in front of tv because it’s a family tradition to watch wheel of fortune. If we have one or two person over for dinner we eat at kitchen table. For more we eat in dining room

Always at the kitchen table - there is a tv directly across from the table. It is usually on unless we have company.

We eat on our kitchen island, seats 4. I also have a formal dining room that sits 6 and I have a very large farm table that seats 8 in my kitchen. The other tables gets used but our everyday meals are at the island.

When the boys lived at home we always ate dinners at the table. Now that we're empty nesters, I eat either here at the computer or on my loveseat when I watch my couple of shows in the evening. DH eats later than me and usually in his mancave.

Usually our main meal and breakfast, if one of us cooks it, is eaten at our table together. Lighter meals can be eaten wherever we want. I don’t usually watch TV, DH is much more likely to eat the smaller meal watching TV, in the living room. He’s not likely to bring it up to his man cave.

Most meals are eaten at kitchen table, dinner we eat together, usually watching national news on the small kitchen TV. Breakfast/lunch we are often on different schedules so eat separately, my computer is in the kitchen so I am usually around when DH is eating although I am not.

Dinner is at the kitchen table.

Breakfast or anytime I’m home for lunch, I eat at the kitchen island. The kids still eat at the kitchen table, DH eats those meals on the couch or at the island.

You can see the tv from the kitchen, and sometimes it’s on during meals, sometimes it isn’t.
