Tell us about her - then we can recommend something really over the top.
By day...she is a General Manager of a large full service hotel.
Professional all the way---suits, heels, make-up, hair done everyday.
Her motto in life, is to keep things "simple but elegant"
Her favorite food is ice cream. Her favorite characters are Mickey and Minnie and Eyeore.
By night, she is the girl next door---jeans-t-shirts---helps kids with their homework, tosses a football with DS and likes to teach DD how to cook.
Weekends are time with the family; movies, cleaning house, relaxing, having fun and going to church...oh yeah and running errands, the never ending errands!
When she does something, she does it fully...if you don't believe me check out our TR from September...she has over the top Disney OCD if I ever seen someone with it! But it was great, definately a trip of a lifetime!
She loves special things too. Like when I surprised her and took her to NYC to see Phantom of the Opera. Rented a Limo, bought her a new dress and took her to a 4 or 5 star restaurant (Smith and Wollensky's). She was blown away by the night! By the same token, she likes simple things too...like when I asked her to go to a Couples Retreat sponsored by our church...she was again blown away by that!
Her ideal proposal would be to take a walk in the woods to a waterfall where she first knew she was falling for me and the kids...I'd like to do something a little more...she's got a very down to earth side of her...yet she always likes things to be nice and done properly.
We have been talking about getting married in Disney complete with a Dessert Party in one of France's arms and a Wishes Cruise on the Grand 1 Yacht. And then going to DLRP for our honeymoon (tying it in with an 18 day European Tour of 6 different countries). And yes, we will definately try to have dinner in the Eiffel Tower...we heard it is wonderful!
Our next trip is in just a few weeks for a quickie, 1 week trip to WDW (awesome deal...too good to pass up) and then in December we are going for a full 2 weeks and surprise the kids (wake them up and tell them to move it or they'll miss the limo to the airport!). This trip will also be over her Birthday and she was told whereever she wants to spend her Birthday at, is fine by me..V&A Chef's table...okay or Peco Bills...okay. It's whatever she wants that day! We'll leave the kids with Kids Nite Out, they did a great job in September.
But I don't know. I'd like to really surprise her and have it be very romantic...but I'd just like some ideas...if anyone has any. Thanks for your help!
