Where do you buy your AP's?

Where do you buy your AP's??

At Disney? A head of time? Just at your resort???

Somewhere in Canada???

I ahve always done packages but we are getting AP's this time.

We purchase ours at Disney...at the gates. I know that there is the option of online and we still get our DVC discount (through our membership website), but it's not any easier or faster than going there. We always plan it so that we can renew it at the time we are a Disney also. However, if for some reason we are not there at renewal time, I would just go online so that I get the renewal rate with DVC discount.

I have inquired at the Disney Store in Canada and they do not sell AP's, only 3,5,7 day passes.

Kim, I've usually purchased mine when I get to Disney. I usually try and wait and see when the exchange rate is favourable. Last October, I ordered mine about two months ahead of time so that I could place an order for the DDE (Disney Dining Experience) card. Although, I think you don't have to pre-order the DDE anymore.

I was hoping there was somewhere in Ontario to get them. Can you get them from your resort when you go? If not just go to one of the park entrances ????

I might just order them online. Have till Oct to decide.

We have purchased AP for at least 5 years. You must go to will call to pick up your APs regardless of how or where you purchased them. Unless this has changed from Dec. 2007, there is no benefit to purcasing them in advance unless you are expecting a large change in the exchange rate.

For the AP, I don't think you can buy them in Ontario or at the resorts. You'll have to buy them at the parks when you arrive or do a will-call. I ordered an AP voucher last year just so I could do the DDE. I tried to time it so that the exchange rate would be favourable and we could order as last minute as possible. I guess with the voucher, you could have it shipped to the resort but then it wouldn't be much different than buying it from the gate.

The training is going pretty well. I would say great if I could wake up at a reasonable hour This weekend, I didn't get out until about 11:30AM and was it ever hot!!

How's your training going? I think September is going to be here before we know it!

I ordered mine over the phone and had it delivered within days! It is a voucher that I'll exchange at Guest Services when we go in August. I wanted it ahead of time so I could access the passholder site for info, possible discounts, etc.

I plan on buying the DDE at the same time I exchange the voucher (to buy the DDE ahead of time is silly as it becomes activated immediately after purchase, whereas the Annual Pass time doesn't start until I exchange the voucher).

I agree! I'm glad they made that change to the program. When I ordered mine early last year, my permanent card didn't even make it to me before I left. Oh well. It's a great program though - it's saved us a ton of money
