After the bowtique lollipop fiasco, I've finally gotten my money back. (Had to dispute the charge.) I'd still like to get a couple of bows for my dd though. I've found some places, but I'm a little nervous now. I don't have time to order from someone else that won't follow through, so I'm hoping for some recommendations. I REALLY want a holiday minnie bow.

Thanks!

Good for you- I still have not gotten my money back. Do you have a holiday gift and hobby show in your town? We have tons of them and you can always find cute ones there.

I get mine from a friend who makes them and they also sell them at a local consignment shop, of course they are brand new. But, I have also seen some cute ones on Etsy. Here is a link to a cute one, I don't know what you're exactly looking for but take a look around over there:

Go to Etsy and ebter holiday minnie bows - a few came up, here's a nice one I might have to order one too: http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.ph...e=handmade&ga_page=1&order=date_desc&includes[]=tags&includes[]=title

I love some of this sellers bows!!! And reasonable too : http://www.etsy.com/shop/Tosweetpeafromme?section_id=5867401

Hope this helps

p.s. what happened with the bowtique lollipop?

My girls won't wear them anymore, but we always got them from this local lady - http://www.ladybugbows.com. She has all sorts of pretty prints and does monograms. I even got myself a nice headband once. I always bought them in person when she would come to our school to sell them, but she also sells online.

I don't know if this will work, but here is a simple pink one with Princess embroidered on it.

5 and 7 and they won't wear them anymore?? Darn-better milk it while mine still does!
OP-I started making my own. Totally self taught but a friend followed instructions on the internet. You can get the clips at Sally's, ribbon anywhere, hot glue gun and wire or sew and there you go. Practice does make perfect and now I'm only upset when they lose them because I may have done a nice job on that one vs. paid $10 for it. HTH

I also make my own.. bought a $10 tutorial off ebay few yrs back that had step-by-step instructions on how to make about 30-40 different bows. LOVE making dd's hairbows to match their outfits.. and that way I can go to Joanns and buy the exact color of ribbons I want to use also to color-coordinate them.

Bows with an attitude. It's a friends site and she does great work! I have a boy but whenever i need to purchase bows for girls that's where I go. she makes them herself and gets them out quickly.

My sister in law does a beautiful bows, she sell them on School, Churchs Festivals, she uses Disney Caracters on them. The prices are around 2.00 for little ones and 3-4 dlls for big ones or pairs. If your are interested please PM and I can send you an email with pictures and prices.

Thanks for this thread OP! Great ideas and websites. Thanks everyone. So many great bows and products. I love the beaded socks on etsy too! I'm taking notes. :)

Thanks for all the links. I'd like to think that I'd have time to make some myself, but we've only got a couple of weeks. Plus I'm buried under holiday gift knitting. ;)
