We are just back from Magic and loved it. We have decided to try another cruise line. Carnival or RCCL....only because the week we are avail Disney is doing a eastern and we want a western.

Who do you book though???

Kim

Hi. I guess we are the lucky ones. My sister inlaw is a travel agent. We took the western cruise last Feb/04. She had everything all printed out for us. All my husbands families and his parents went. It was nice having our travel agent with us the whole time. The year before her family took the eastern cruise,so she kind of knew what to expect.
overall, I would go with a travel agent.

We used Cruise Holidays. They were the most knowledgable of all the people I talked to and we had friends who had used them and were very happy. They had been on so many of the cruises that we described what we were looking for and they could give us first hand recommendations. Also, they were competitive with all the online places I checked and when the price dropped they took care of everything without my asking.

I used cruisecompete.com for our Feb 06 Wonder cruise. You just type in some basic info - dates, category for cabin etc and then you wait for on-line cruise travel agencies to reply with a quote. If you want to persue one of the quotes, you continue to then just deal directly with that agency. I ended up using Cruisevalue.com who responded to my search request from cruisecompete.com! We saved at least $200 over the lowest quote I was able to get from any other agency on or off line.

We booked our Disney cruise thru Dreams Unlimited, I think they only do Disney, but we saved 1200$ from the price Disney quoted me directly. We also received a 75$ shipboard credit, so all in all, I am happy with them!

I did book almost a year in advance.

Happy planning!!

Thanks everyone!!!

Cruisecompete is it quoted in US funds???

Thanks

Kim

yes, cruisecompete is in US Funds. I was originally worried about dealing with an internet company for the cruise, as I was a little shaky about dealing with an "unknown. HOwever, I checked out their BBB rating (right off the quote page) and also found out that its not the company that you pay to, but whenever you deposit money for the trip, the agency deposits it right to Disney, so in case anything did happen to the agency, your money is with Disney and not the agency. Good Luck
