My daughter is dying to see Ariel- anyone know all the places to meet her, times, etc? We leave on Sunday- Im so nervous Ive forgotten something!!

You can see her in Ariels's Grotto at Magic Kingdom.

This is from allears.net.

Ariel's Grotto -- This colorful grotto out just beyond Cinderella's Golden Carrousel is decorated with starfish, coral, and waterfalls, and affords the opportunity to meet Ariel, the beautiful mermaid heroine of "The Little Mermaid," throughout the day. There's also a play area with a spongy flooring -- originally there were squirting fountains here, but they haven't operated for some time.

Since mermaids have difficulty walking on land, Ariel will greet you from her chair draped with seaweed -- young mermaid fans can sit right next to her for their photo op!

Ariel's usually there at her grotto from 10 a.m. until park closing, but check your daily Times Guide just to be sure.

Sometimes she appears at one of the princess meals at Akershus (Epcot) but its not a guaranty.

If you really want to see her, the Grotto is your best bet. Make sure you get in line when it opens and her line can get really long. We got there about 9:50 am and we waited for half an hour. By the time we exited the line was about an hour wait.

Both times we have been to Disney, Ariel's Grotto opened early. 9:30 in Jan and 9:00 in June.

Yep, her groto is the only place to see her as a mermaid. She is human at the Princess meals in Norway, but really, it's the mermaid you want LOL!

Her line can get long, but, there is a sprinkler/fountain play area there as well. I just get in line while the girls play and then then join me when it is their turn to meet Ariel. Keeps them cool and happy :)

We were at MK last week at RD, waited for Dumbo first and saw that the Grotto was open about 9:30. Headed right over before 10AM and waited 10-15 minutes.

We saw her the next night @ Akershus and my 3 year old daughter commented on meeting Ariel the day before as a mermaid. Ariel said she remembered her! Too cute, my DGD talked about that for days.

We met Ariel at the grotto and it was the highlight of my DD3's trip. She was over the moon and Ariel was wonderful with my kids. She really took time to speak to each of them individually and then posed individually and as a group.

Here are some pics...

We saw her at the princess breakfast in Norway. My daughter also loved the The Little Mermaid Voyage show at DHS. It was awesome! We never made it over to the grotto. I think time flies way too fast when you are at the Magic Kingdom! :lmao: Have a wonderful vacation!

and if you see her in the grotto, make sure you ask to see her dinglehopper

one time we went and the line wqas 60 min long.. needless to say, we passed.

Okay lol dinglehopper? Nervous on that one! Adorable picture I think Ella is going to faint when she sees her, shes 3 so super magical for her!!

Don't worry about the dinglehopper, its not bad, i just googled it. Sometimes when you tell the characters things from their show.... well, its just really neat to see how they react.

well, my point was that she actually has a dinglehopper in the grotto. at Disneyland too.

she can even demonstrate how it's used

DD asked about her dinglehopper last week! She was awesome about it! I will post a pic later (it's on the other computer).

When we went Ariel was in her Grotto from 10 to 6. We didn't see the line early on in the day, but at around 5:30 it was only 10 minutes. Totally worth it. My two year old was so excited, she saw Ariel from a distance when we were in line and talked nonstop. Then when we got up there, she was speechless...well to be fair Ariel was such a chatterbox, I don't think DD could have gotten a word in edgewise! :rotfl: She was a hoot. She showed us how to comb hair with a dinglehopper, then DD grabbed it and tried to eat with it. Ariel was like "aww silly little angelfish!" it was precious.

From the pics DD looks so serious, you'd think she didn't have any fun, but she totally did. All she talked about the whole trip was Ariel and Tinker Bell. And I think she's asked to watch "The Little Mermaid" everyday since we got home. :)
BTW we saw her at Akershus lunch...but she's not a 100% guarantee there.

i think if you ask for a dinglehopper, you better have your kids there with you.. :rotfl:
