Where do those tour groups stay?

Just wondering-where do all those (mostly)Brazilain tour groups stay? On site ot off? I have never seen any at the CBR or the WL. Do they take over the values like they take over the parks.?

I know the second week in July some were staying at the hilton.

I've seen them in an off-site suite hotel (can't remember the name). They were very rude all through the night and into the early morning running around, slamming doors, yelling and making prank phone calls. Obviously not enough supervision, and complaints to the hotel management did nothing.

My parents stayed at the Marriott World Center the second week of July and my mom said that they Brazillian teens were EVERYWHERE!!!!

Since we usually go in July we've had many conversations with CMs about the South American tour groups. We were told that Disney use to let them stay onsite but they destroyed so many rooms and had so many complaints from other guest that after a few years Disney said no more. We've also been told that most off site hotels make them put a $5000-$10,000 bond up before they can reserve rooms.

Years ago Disney also stopped advertising in South America to try to keep the numbers of groups down, but after 9/11 began to advertise again when crowd numbers were so low. The CM's we've talked to have been there for years and claim that the last couple of years have been the worse. But they also said that they don't cut in line like they use to.

we went in the end of june and saw a group of about 150 staying at ASMo. We were staying at ASmu and got stuck on a bus with them one night,. They were loud on the bus until they saw that my DD8 was asleep, then the girls started "shhhhhing" the guys so they wouldnt wake my daughter

On our last visit in Feb, there was a large group (mostly female) staying at ASMo. We noticed them in the parks, and didn't realize they were staying at the same site until we were behind them in the bus line one evening at MK. Their chaperone "commandeered" a bus to keep the group together, so we gladly waited for the next bus that time around.

Granted, the young women were polite while in line. Several of them were trying to make conversation with my exhausted little boys. Other than acting like typical teen-aged girls, we saw no negative activity.

I was having this conversation with my dad a few days ago. I was wondering about the sleeping arrangements. Doesn't there have to be an adult in a guest room? If so they would need to have 1 adult and 2 teens in a room. I'm sure they don't have that many chaperones! Anybody know?

We were on the boat from MK to FW for HDDR in Jan with a Brazilian group of teens. They were obnoxious and I thought for sure that someone was going to fall off of the boat, they kept standing on the seats and piling on each other to take pictures. The CM's didn't really do much about it. I think they must have been staying at FW or WL (I can't remember where they got off) because we didn't see them at HDDR. Luckily that was our only experience

We talked to one of the tour guides and they have 2 chaperones for each group of about 30 kids ...Thats it
