Where do they sell ice cream in France?

I have heard that there is great gourmet ice cream in France (WS) but could never find it. We just came back 1/13 and did ask while in France but was directed to a cart with Mickey Bars, etc. I would love to find out once and for all if ice cream is sold in France and if so where! Thanks!

I dont know if this is the gourmet they talk about , but my kids have to have some from the little cart out front that makes the cafe' au lait's and crepes. It really is good and it's served in bowl or waffle cone. My fave is the cafe' au lait mmm " tis good ya'll"
