Where do the West Virginia mountains begin?

Excuse my ignorance, but I've read on a bunch of different threads about people driving through the mountains of WV when going from Southern Ontario to WDW via I79/77 route.

Where exactly do the mountains start? Morgantown, Clarkesburg, further south?? I'm just checking to make sure I'm not driving through the mountains at night.

Southern PA is where it begins to hilly on I-79. All of WV, VA and a little bit of NC are hilly. The rest of NC, SC & FL are pretty flat.

Glad to be of service.

Travelling by road any when weather is inclement can be treacherous.
Mountains seem to spook folks a lot. I find white outs in flat areas, like Ohio just as dangerous.

No matter which route you plan on taking check the weather the day before you leave incase travel plans need to be modified.

HamHam is right, southern Pa thru to SC.
It's a beautiful trip if the weather is on your side.
Check and re-check your forecast. Just because us Canadians know how to drive in inclement weather doesn't mean that others do...
