Where do I stay?!?

I need some help deciding... (I did post this on the club level thread as well...) My on Disney property portion of my trip is Sept 27-Oct 1st. I am really concerned about the construction noise at Wilderness Lodge. People are reporting jack hammering sounds during the day and all kinds of construction noises. Oddly enough, the booking engines reports noise at the Poly but not WL. Isn't a lot of the Poly noise isolated to one area now??? We are currently in a Deluxe at WL with Club access. I am consumed with thoughts about whether this is the right decision to make. We like the idea of the deluxe because it gives us a separate room for my son- who just turned 2. We can do the one room, but a little separation would be nice.

So, here are my options- please help me think about this. We for sure want to be in the MK area. We want it to be convenient to get to the MK we are going 2 of the 4 park days. (One more piece of info- we have gone to disney like 5 times with our son, we aren't looking for things to be the perfect first trip, but he is a napper still. And that time is precious to all 3 of us. Husband rests, and I nap with my son. So we have plans in our touring plan to return to the room each day at 1ish for a nap.) Okay- my options- stay at WL in the deluxe rooms. Save $200 and stay in a stnd club level room at WL. (Money isn't super important, but $200 is $200.) Or switch. Our options are- Contemporary- stnd atrium club, $568. Poly- Lagoon view Club Level 599. ($70 more than our deluxe room.) Or Grand Floridian: Standard Club, outer building I believe- $494, or Deluxe King (club level) in the main building for $690.90. There weren't pictures for the deluxe king- do they have that window area with a couch in the deluxe kings? Because then I can put my son in his pack and play in that little window area and put the couch in front of him for a little separation...

I'm with you in that I completely understand that the resorts need to undergo routine maintenance, but since we only get to WDW once a year, and we do spend the money on deluxe, I want my resort to be as perfect as possible. Personally, right now, I wouldn't go near the Poly. The changes being made will make it a prime location to vacation at, but right now, it's not looking it's best. I don't know what's going on over at WL, but if there are multiple complaints on these boards about noise, then I'd assume they're right. I say, go with GF or CR, and it comes down to whether or not money is an object, and what kind of theming you want. Both are super convenient in terms of transportation, both have nice pools, (though I like the GF one much better....the CR one is hotter than the surface of the sun), and both have plenty of dining options.

The GF RPC deluxe king (main building CL) would be your largest room option among all of your other choices. Here is a link to a post on the GF FAQ with a couple of pics of 1 of the deluxe kings in RPC:

Scroll down to post #2058 by animalkingdom15. The GF deluxe rooms are around 600 sq ft compared to around 400 sq ft for standard. The GF SL rooms (outer building CL) are the same size as any other standard room, which is comparable in size to the rooms at the CR and Poly. SL does have deluxe rooms, but they are not a bookable category and are by request only. There are only a few of them, so there is a chance that if you did request it, you might not get it. With that said, if the extra cost is doable, I'd go with the RPC deluxe king. We've never stayed at the CR and have only stayed standard non-CL at the Poly, but RPC is amazing. Good luck.

As of last month I did not see any construction at the poly. I believe only the quiet pool will be down and should be back up about when your trip is scheduled. With lagoon view you would not see it anyways. I would choose that or GF.
