Where do I get the best steaks in Disney?

I haven't been to Shula's, but the best I've had is the Filet Mignon at Portobello in Down Town Disney.

With Uncleromulus and harley6464 on this one. "The Shula Cut." The quality remains consistent. Most places serve the steaks that Shula's turns away.
7yr old Ribeye Aged to Perfection(well the photo is 7 yrs old. ;) )

Suprisingly, we had AMAZING steak at Shutters at the CBR. It was just a great piece of meat, with some GREAT flavor to it. I would definetly give it a try if I was you...

Other than Shula's (I've been to others in the country but not WDW's and they are well worth the visit) here are my top places in order.

1. Narcoossee's (Surf good, Turf very Good; the grilled filet mignon excellent).
2. Yachtsman (NY Strip is very good).
3. California Grill (Menu is not my style, but the streak is very good).
4. Captains Grill ( Not a typo, I love this place and their NY Strip is priced right if out of pocket).
5. Le'Cellier (No, this list is not upside down. good, not great and barely edges out Coral Reef).

Has anybody tried the Bull & Bear Steakhouse at the Waldorf yet?

It's semi-on-property. It's certainly priced like a top steakhouse....

I enjoy the Porterhouse at the Yachtsman Steakhouse at the Yacht Club Resort as my go-to for a Disney Steakhouse.

The closest, non-Disney steakhouse that I would recommend is Shula's (at the WDW Dolphin), amazing steaks and great service.

If you decide to go of property, I'd suggest visiting Morton's or the Palm (at the Hard Rock Hotel). Being a regular at both of these restaurants back home and occasionally when I travel, I can say that I have not yet been let down by their offerings.

At Yachtman we've always enjoyed the steaks/chops 1st and foremost, the sides and the ambiance. Yachtman is a bit more reasonable than Shula's. Shula's is the Steakhouse of all steakhouses, I think it's the same as Morton's, Ruth Chris etc., the only thing I don't like about these steakhouses are the sides. I don't want a vat of mashed potatoes or a whole head of Broccoli, I love steak/beef but I also want a "little" key word here, potatoes and vegies/salad with it. I've also had really good New York Strips and prime rib at Le Cellier and on the DP youc an't beat the price.

hands down, shula's followed by flying fish :worship:and then narcoossee's and even brown derby has a good steak. artist point has a terrific buffalo steak if you like rare to med rare. which i do. :thumbsup2 really good.

i have eaten steak at almost every restaurant in wdw. ;)

On property, sort of, Shula's. I prefer to go off property to Charley's. Have a location just across the street from Celebration. So good, reasonably priced, and casual as well. No where near as pricey as Ruth's Chris or morton's, or Shulas.
I've been looking for a good CASUAL steakhouse that doesn't cost a fortune. Does this place tend to get crowded?

I am a Filet Migon steak eater and I get one every where I go in Disney and last year the best one I had was France. Also is good is the Yachtmans, Coral Reef, Maya Grill, Wave, Now I'm talking a 1 tbs credit. Had the Filet at the 2 table ones and they were all good.

The filet at The Wave is excellent! The filet at Le Cellier is good, but I've dined at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse, which serves up a much better steak.

I'd say the best steak is the char crusted NY strip at Flying Fish....
Yes, my daughter recently ordered this steak...she loved it but couldn't finish it. I tried a bite and Wow! I finished what she couldn't without a second thought. Exceptional :thumbsup2

I agree with the previous poster. I've eaten steaks all over WDW and the best one I've ever had was at the Flying Fish.:cloud9: I've also had a very good one at the Turf Club at Saratoga Springs.

Surprisingly the worst ones I've ever had have been at Yatchsman and California Grill. (To be fair though, I have also had good ones at both of those restaurants:rotfl:). Oh, wait a minute. The very worst steak I've ever had at WDW was at Shutters at CBR. How could I forget that one. I ate maybe 3-4 bites, just around the edges. It was REALLY bad. lol

Charleys can get busy, I have gone with and without reservations. Reservations only when we had bigger group.

I had steak at Le Cellier & Kona Cafe. The steak that I had at Kona Cafe was much much better.

Last time I was at WDW for a conference we went with a vendor to Shula's for dinner.. the steaks were "ok". The beef was nice, but they really don't do anything except drop the meat on the grill and then your plate.

I guess with the right piece of meat that would be fine, but it wasn't good enough to stand on its own.

I've booked dinner at the Yachstman in late September when we go back and hope it'll be nice.

Definitely for those crossing the pond, take the trip offsite to Ruth's Chris. If you're used to paying the price for steak in the UK, the prices aren't that bad. I just came back from London and agree that there's no good steak there :)

Good luck in your search and make sure you post back after you've gone!
