Hi, it's been a while since my last post. Since last summer actually!! On our trip to DL last summer, my DS fell into pin collecting in a big way. He's not actually traded any so far, but just enjoys collecting.

My DD, now 3 has also taken a liking to Tinkerbell pins. Problem is we don't have a lanyard for her to put her few pins on. where can I get one? We got my son's at DL, but won't be back there until December at the earliest. Any help would be appreciated!! :earsboy:

hey!
I was just on Ebay and found one I think your daughter might enjoy! Its a Tinkerbell lanyard. There are also TONS more lanyards and pins there as well...so just search it out. Also, they usually sell those lanyards at the park giftshops and stuff. Hope it helps!

Does it have to be an "official" Disney lanyard? Can I make my own out of fabric or cord? Can pins be traded at WDW from a vest or hat or bag? (I saw in the pin trading FAQs that Disney Tokyo had a rule that they had to be on a lanyard.) Since I'm not crazy about having anything hanging around my neck, I thought perhaps I could pin them to the backpack that will hang on the back of my wheelchair. Any info will be appreciated.

I didn't know that Walmart sold Disney Lanyards. I have been looking for one for my daughter for our upcoming trip. Which department are they in??

Try Claire's, Hot Topic or Walmart. They all carry Disney lanyards.

Good luck!

I found them near the purses. You might also try the travel section, near luggage, travel bags etc. It was some time ago I saw the lanyards at Walmart. I have seen lanyards at Hot Topic and Claire's recently.

And yes......you can make your own lanyard. There is no "rule" that you have to have a Disney made lanyard. Many people make their own and/or use non Disney lanyards.

There is a Tinkerbelle lanyard at Disneydirect.com on sale now for $6.99 if you haven't purchased one yet.

I have seen plenty of people with hats & vests instead of lanyards. I have to wear a lanyard while I am working, and have come to find it an annoyance. I like trading with people, esp. the kids, but don't particularly care for someone touching my chest. :) Unfortunately, we wear aprons, so that new lanyard taht you can wear on your belt doesn't work for me. When I have to task, such are cleaning or restocking, it gets in the way and can actually be dangerous. I usually have to take it off then.

But I would say wear them on your bag, or hat or whatever! Great idea!

Thanks for the reassurance. I got bit by the pin bug when I saw the DisneyDirect pin sale. I bought a bunch - some for trading. I think they would get pretty heavy on a lanyard, so I'm planning to put them on the strap of my wc backpack.
