Where do I complain?

Not sound whiney but we just had a really bad experience with BLT. We splurged for 1 night there in a MK view room. The torrential rain and lightening wasn't disney's fault but I was really dissapointed that I missed wishes. DH felt so bad that he offered to stay all day today in the parks so we could see the fireworks. He would have had to drive all night and then go straight to work in the morning. I couldn't let him do that. Oh and the reason for the trip was to celebrate the 6th anniversary of my 29th bday. The room was a mess. The tub looked like someone had spilled beige paint all over it and didn't clean it up. The paint was chipping off. Also there was writing on the wall in the kitchenette. It looks like it was left over from when it was installed. The couch cushions we almost shreaded. Really not what I expected from a brand new resort.

You should complain to your eye doctor that you didn’t see the problems when you checked in. Or, to the electrician who installed the defective bulbs that didn’t work when you returned to a dark room. Or, complain to your therapist for being upset about something that didn’t bother you until you left. Bad news – you sound whiny. 35.

It definately bothered me before we left. We didn't notice it the day before because we dropped our bags headed to the pool and then off to the parks. It was dark when we got back. FYI the lighting is pretty dim in the room.

Not sure if this is a mis-worded sentence or you were just that frustrated! :scared1:

I just came back from a 5 night stay in BLT and our sofa was torn in a few places and had a few stains. Then my Granddaughter spilled bottled wated on it. We dried it up right away but it left a water mark. I guess the sofa's material isn't durable enough and I'd suspect that we'll see new sofa's in a year or 2.

That being said the room was spotless when we arrived. (Which was a relief after checking into a less than clean room at OKW 7 months ago.)

We loved BLT and the staff was very, very accommodating. Everything we asked for was taken care of, but you have to ask.

Sorry to post again so soon but I just remembered a story a friend told me about a stay at the Wilderness lodge. His wife woke up feeling ill and threw up on the bed. He called the desk to explain his problem and asked for new bed linen. He started cleaning up and after a few minutes there was a knock on the door. It was a housekeeper and 2 maintainence guys with a new mattress. Disney hires humans and no matter how you train then, people screw up sometimes, but I've always found Disney to jump to solve a problem when it's reported to them.

That is what makes Disney so great. True Disney is not the cheapest in town, but they set the bar when it comes to responding to issues. It's their customer service and their attention to detail that always gets us to return.
