I am looking for a nice restaurant for me and dear hubby to go to. Also what is a good restaurant for dinner for a 5yr. after the parks close. Do you need PS for DTD to? Sorry with all the questions, but I am getting very overwhelmed about making sure I get PS.(I leave 5/16), so I need to get this done asap. Once again thank you, thank you. I dont know what I would to without this fourum. lol

In answer to the question about a 5yo after park hours--my personal favorite is Rainforest Cafe at DTD. My DD4 and DD2 love it--both the food and the atmosphere. We--DH and I--love the food, also. You cannot PS at DTD restaurants, though. The wait time can be VERY long! If you go to WDW on a fairly regular basis, though, it is worth buying the Safari Club membership. You buy this on arrival for--I think--$15. This gets you either a 10% discount or a free appetizer on each visit. Most importantly, though, you get bumped to the front of the waiting list on each visit including the one when you buy your membership. This is essentially like having PS. We bought membership about a year ago and were seated in about 15 minutes when the listed wait time was 2 hours! We have since used the membership 3 times at both WDW and in Nashville and have had immediate seating each time. Definitely worth it to us with two kids to wait with!

I will put in a negative vote for Rainforest Cafe. Wait is usually awful and service matches the wait and that seems to be a universal problem for Rainforest. Yes, for dinner you should try to make ressies (PS) including (and especially) for DTD restaurants (some there do take ressies but you have to call the restaurant directly and cannot do it through Disney). However, that time of year, you can usually get a time close to what you want by just calling the day before (and often just the morning of). For after park hours with a 5 year old, you have a huge number of choices although it would help to know where you are staying. One thing to note is that the park restaurants generally take seating up to closing time (and thus are really open for about an hour or longer afterward). All the deluxe Disney resorts have good restaurants and you can do table serve or buffet. Our favorite buffets outside the parks are Cape May at Beach Club, Park Fair at Grand Floridian, and Trails End at Fort Wilderness. ESPN Club at BoardWalk is great for burgers and the like and watching sports. Palios at Swan/Dolphin is a good Italian restaurant. One thing to understand is that essentially all restaurants are kid friendly and informal (and you will see many families with kids in them)-- the exception is Victoria and Albert's at Grand Floridian which is really an adult place that requires jacket (and a possible for that couples only dinner, although I would recommend California Grill at Contemporary). Our preferred in DTD are Portobello Yacht Club (Italian) and Fulton's (seafood). If you go to Epcot, have dinner at one of the World Showcase restaurants -- our best are Tippanyaki in Japan, Le Celiere in Canada (steak and chees soup), and the Biergarten in Germany (buffet, nightly entertainment, and obscene sized beer steins)

If you want to go to DTD after park hours I suggest you try Portobello Yacht Club. A 5 year old will love it there and yes get PS as soon as you can.
