Okay, I know. I have waited too long to do this but hey, who cares, we're going to Disney for the first time. Questions are: Arriving noon on Jan. 1, do not plan to go to parks, where would be a good dinner? Staying at ASMo, already have PS at Rainforest and Chef Mickey and evening at Hoop-de-do. Also on Friday night after a day at MK.

Thanks for the help.

Okay, stupid added on question #43987435987, a suggestion for a good place to eat at MGM.

Thanks again, stay hard, keep jammin', and I'll see ya.

In the absence of more info, I recommend Spoodles on the BoardWalk.

For a spot to eat at MGM, I'd try the Brown Derby or the 50's Prime Time Cafe (depending what type of atmosphere you're looking for)

If your looking for a spot to eat without going into the parks, here are a few suggestions:

'Ohana at the Polynesian

Boma at Animal Kingdom Lodge

I'll 2nd bicker's suggestion of Spoodles on the Boardwalk

Olivia's at Old Key West

Spoodles is excellent and it's fun to hang out on the Boardwalk for a while.
Try the 4 cheese w/garlic flatbreads for an appetizer! Yummy!

Flying Fish on the Boardwalk is more expensive but is the BEST restaurant on Disney property, in MY opinion. ;)

We arrive on a Friday and have PS' at Flying Fish on the Boardwalk. We haven't eaten here before, and I have read wonderful things about it. Looking forward to it!
Afterwards we are planning to go to Illuminations. :) Should be a good day! :)

Luv2Roam,

If you sit at a table, ask for John. Tell him MaryAnn told you to!:p

If you want to sit at the bar, sit at the high bar with Anderson.

The steaks are fantastic, with or without the Foyot sauce. We love the sauce, which is like a bernaise but better!

The pasta dish is really good too.
The salads are GREAT!
They have the best Caeser salad I've ever had.
We don't eat seafood but I hear it's also terrific.
The desserts are scrumptious!
I love the Bombe.

Have a great vacation!

There is an Italian place in MGM can't remember the name but the place was really lousy. Worst sit down meal on the property. Olive Garden seems more authentic.

I had a different experience at Mama Melrose's. For dinner, it was some of the best tasting food we've ever had at a WDW theme park. It couldn't touch Chefs de France, but it was really yummy.

The problem we had there, though, was that the service was worse than horrible. It was both slow and incompetent.

eat at the Cape May Cafe at the Beach Club and walk over to the Boardwalk afterwards.
