Where did your SO propose to you?

In my parents living room before our first date.

March 14, 2001, my birthday. He came home from work all sweaty and dirty, took off his jeans and boots and sat down in the chair opposite me in the computer room. He asked me wearing nothing but dirty underpants and a filthy t shirt. I didn't care. I adored him (still do) and was thrilled. 6 months later we were married.

In Atlantic City on the boardwalk. It was my college senior trip, and he had told me at dinner he wanted us to be alone so he could give me my present (he had told me a bracelet). I had absolutely no idea, since I knew his finances at the time and he was still in college himself (he ultimately cashed in bonds and charged some of it). I was so surprised - it was a great ending to college! May 15, 1995

Under the wing of a huge airplane at the Strategic Air Command museum in Bellevue, Nebraska. August, 1990.

Right by this foot bridge at Miles Canyon just outside of Whitehorse, Yukon.

   :love2:

DH proposed after a beautiful day spent having brunch at the Oclub on base and going for a nice walk. We were walking thru the muddy clearing behind our neighborhood when it was being prepared for the new roads to go in for the houses & he asked what I wanted to do with the money he finally received for our move here. When I suggested something for the house he said that he was thinking along the lines of an engagement ring. We went out to pick out the ring together.

In our kitchen..... how unromantic.
Romance isn't his strong point, although I love him more than anything!!!
ETA - forgot about this: he was going to propose at an Xmas party we were going to - he made the mistake of telling my mom this (who has a really big mouth) and she told me, therefore ruining his surprise... I don't think he knew what else to do!! I knew it was coming anyway!

In bed. (His sister's twin bed, at his mother's house, lol)

He'd driven from chicago to Maryland, then we drove to NY. He just couldn't wait, so the morning after driving all night he told me he couldn't imagine spending his life without me.

I commented that I went downstairs with my boyfriend and came up with my fiance! :)

We had gone to the monument once that day, but DH announced that he wanted to go back at night to see it all lit up. He got down on one knee in front of all the people on the observation deck (I think that's what you call it :confused3 ). Afterward, three different women came up to us with tears in their eyes. :goodvibes

I had no idea it was coming, but I (smarta** that I am) had been teasing him that day about how he should get the Hope Diamond from the Smithsonian and propose to me. :rotfl:

My DH took me to my favorite chinese restaurant, (not all you can eat buffet type) and after a nice romantic dinner ( i had no idea btw) we got the check and the fortune cookies, he picked one and I picked the other one, when I opened the cookie my ring was in there and on the little paper "THE QUESTION".

Then for our first anny, we were in WDW and he gave me another small ring in front of the castle

Infront of a couple thousand people on Valentine's Day 2003! The day started off with our whole family and his (I'm talking sisters, brother in-laws, little brother, moms, grandparents, nieces, etc) going to Seaworld, I thought it a bit strange since it was a weekday and the kids had school but oh well. We had lunch at the Shark's Grille and then did a few attractions before DFiance' said lets go see the Shamu show, I on the other hand had other plans because I had booked a surprise Birthday package at the Orlando TD Waterhouse Centre for the Hockey Game at 7pm, it was now around 5:30pm.

I told him no that I hadn't wanted to see the show, he begged and so I figured we'd just have to be a few minutes late to the Hockey Game.

Well the show starts, the camera pans the audience and then YMCA comes on, and there we are.... ahhh! On the big screen in Shamu Stadium. Above his heads pops up "Kiss me you fool", I'm so shy that I just shook my head, and then above my head pops "Oh what a charmer", I'm like mortified by now...lol!

Above us both it says "Darlene..." and I'm still like, huh? How do they know my name? "Darlene... will you marry me?"

I was in shock, I shook my head no, even though I said yes...lol, how funny, he stood up and kissed me and stuck the ring on my finger everyone went crazy! Because of my head nod everyone kept asking well did she say yes or no... too funny! Of course I said yes. It's a funny video, one day I'll get it online.

BTW, we missed his "Happy Birthday John" message on the megatron at the Game and the song, we caught the last 1/3 of the game.
