Where did you stay during your wedding?

We're booked for the Polynesian, our favorite! We were originally going to do the SoG/Polynesian split that we did last time, but DH got spoiled last trip with Polynesian Concierge and wanted a resort on the monorail. Plus the free dining allowed us to do this for the same amount as our original plan. After watching the vacation planning DVD, he has decided that he could give up the monorail on the next trip for the YC/BC pool. Men!

We stayed at the Beach Club Villas after the wedding (I started at the Boardwalk villas so that we were getting ready apart from each other and there were only so many rooms available)...it's our favorite hotel (DVC at least) so it was a no brainer for us!

We did Pop the 4 nights before the wedding. And loved it.

We did Saratoga Springs the next 7 nights. And hated it with a passion, we're still refusing to stay there anytime soon. It was so bad they comped us a night for our wedding night, when it took them 45 mins to check us in (with me in my dress, and only one person ahead of us in line) and the room REAKED for 2 days, and 3 phone calls. We also had major bus problems the whole time, and the staff wasn't friendly in the least. And there was no resturant at the time so we had a horrible time finding a place to eat if we didn't want to venture far (they've since added one).

Then we did our last 4 nights at Wilderness Lodge Concierge Level. I can't rave enough about it. Even after my husband saw the cost he thought it was worth every penny (totally shocked me). I'd do it again in a heartbeat. They were soo nice and helpful, and the WL is just sooo beautiful. Even though it was way expensive I'm soo glad we did it, it was the perfect ending to our fairytale wedding and honeymoon.

I'm surprised to hear this...so sad for you! WE just stayed there in February and thought it was some of the best staff we had seen in a long time. Perhaps they have upgraded since your awful experience!

We stayed at the Polynesian before our wedding and for part of our Disneymoon! We were married at Sea Breeze Point! We had a pre-wedding dinner at 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian and a wedding dinner thrown by my parents at 'OHANA at the Polynesian! Then, for a few nights of our Disneymoon we stayed at Pop-Century!

We are staying at POR for 2 weeks but will book a deluxe hotel hotel for our wedding night (away from the kids!). I love POR and the romantic carriage rides. We never spend anytime in the room, especially with two boys, i would rather spend my money elsewhere.

We are staying at the Boardwalk Villas in a standard view studio for 10 days. We rented points from a DVC member here on the Dis. It was easy and saved $$. It was so easy we convinced his parents and sister to also rent points. I am now working on my parents to do the same.

We are staying at the WL, because I wanted to be kind of close to the WP. Also my family and DF's family wanted to stay at the WL but I talked them into staying at the Ft. Wilderness Cabins- If they were going to stay at the WL I was going to ask that they be put far away from us. I don't think I want my family around during the honeymoon- they would drive us crazy.

We are staying at the GF in a Honeymoon Suite. My in-laws and my mother and youngest brother are staying in the Main Building as well. I know it is a chuck of $$, but we all wanted to be together and my FIL is sick, so we needed to stick close to him just in case....

We love it at the GF, just can't get enough...
