Where did you get ready?

My MOH, Mom and I got ready in our garden suite at the Boardwalk. Huge! Lots of room for us, Disney cosmo and Carolyn Allen doing the dress steaming.

So do you guys think a standard room at *undecided* would be sufficiant for us to get ready in? There will be me, three bridesmaids, one flower girls, my mum and probably my 3 year old nephew? I really don't want to book a mega expensive room as we will only be staying in it on the wedding night and won't get much use out of it.

We have a standard room booked at POFQ (but might change to a King bed if it would give more room) and there will be me, my mum, and two adult bridesmaids. My niece (flower girl) will hang out with my dad around the resort until we get them ready at the last minute but, tbh, she is more than happy to sit and look at her books rather than run around the room!

The boys will get ready at my mum and dad's villa as my nephews are much more boisterous, and there they will have a playground, private and public pool, and lots more space so they won't be in the way!

I got ready in a regular room at the BW (since the wedding was a SBP, I wanted to be at the BW). We were lucky enough to have a room with a child bed in it, which I think makes it slightly roomier. But either way it was a standard room and I think we had plenty of room. There was me, four BMs, and my mom and we had no space issues that I am aware of.

I currently have a Standard room booked at the BH for our wedding. Since we are not staying in DW for our honeymoon I didn't want to spend a ton of money on a big suite. (That's for Antigua!) Do you think I should mention to my planner Michelle about getting a room in the convention center held?

We got ready at the Boardwalk in the Garden Suite. It was amazing! The guys got ready in my mom's room which was a one bedroom villa.

The Garden Suite was just so nice. It was like we had our own apartment. I checked in the day before the wedding and then we stayed the bnight of the wedding and the night after. We only had it for 3 nights because we left for Hawaii 2 days after the wedding so it wasn't to big of an expense. Also my reception was at the Boardwalk so we were able to just walk back to our room! It was myself, my mom, my DH's mom, my 2 aunts (who were hanging out but got ready in their own rooms) and my 5 bridesmaids. There was so much room.We had brekfast and 2 hair stylist in there as well (as well as randy and my videographer) It's nice because there is a lot of seating (even 2 plastic chairs from the outside porch area we used), 2 floors and 2 bathrooms and a wet bar. Plus it makes for nice pics!

:) First off - your wedding was beautiful Mary! I love the before pictures. Too awesome!

Anyways, I was originally thinking of getting ready at my Dad's timeshare (Vistana Resort 2 miles outside Disney on SR 535). That's huge! Now I'm thinking of getting a room at Boardwalk (where the whole sha-bang will be).

We're honeymooning in the Contemporary, but I don't know if that's big enough based on the last time I was there.

Not sure. :confused3

The Contemporary has the largest rooms of any of the resorts - especially the ones at the end of the Garden Wings - they're like 1 1/2 rooms each. But getting ready at the BoardWalk will be WAY easier.

Mary, I love your wedding everything is so pretty and that room looks huge!!! :thumbsup2

But, since I am not staying on disney property the night before the wedding and check in is not til 4pm, it looks like I will have to get ready at the off site villa and get a limo or something to the WP. My coordinator said you could request an earlier check in but its not guarenteed and I don't really want to be worrying about that.

So does anyone know if the disney limo would come off property to the villas so we can use theirs (this way it counts towards the minimum!)

Yes, it can come get you. :thumbsup2 There may be an extra charge, depending on how far away you are.
