I am having a hard time finding out how much you can finance at 0% for 6 months with the disney visa? Has anyone found this anywhere in print? I have searched the website and customer service for Chase could not answer my question. My guide thought it was $2500 max but also thought it was based on the amount of points you purchased.

Also, 2007 points for AKV in the February and August use years are getting low for anyone who is thinking about a purchase. April is our use year and there are plenty of 2007 points left.

Thanks.:)

It is $2,500 max as far as I know. They run this frequently and not just for DVC -- DCL has had it also. I believe the $2,500 is per transaction. So if you broke your point purchase up into separate contracts, each could qualify for the special.

FWIW - my disney card currently says No offers when I check it out, been like that for close to a month. The offer may not currently be available, your guide is probably your best bet for info.

Good Luck!

Interesting. I just paid for an AKV add on with my Disney Visa. I had no idea about this promo.

I was wondering why DVC charged my card twice, with one being the first $2500... :thumbsup2

So Maistre Gracey are you saying that you have two charges for $2500 (one for each add on) and they are both showing up as interest free? Or did they charge $2500 and then the balance in a seperate transaction to make sure you didn't go over the amount allowed for the interest free promotion? Thanks

I don't have my statement yet, so I'm not sure exactly how it will pan out.

I purchased two contracts. I paid for one outright, and received two receipts. One receipt was for $2500, and the other was for the balance.
The second contract I only put 10% down, and that amount was less than $2500 so only one receipt. I won't know if that one is interest free until I get my statement. I'm assuming the $2500 one is interest free since they broke it down that way. :)

Thanks for the info. :) Anyone else out there charge their add-on on their disney visa?

I made a purchase in December of just 25 points and the whole thing shows up interest free.

I paid my down payment of $1450 on Chase and it showed up 6 mos. no interest automatically. The same things happened when I booked a Disney vacation in the fall -- pre DVC. :)

I believe Discover card is running a 0% on purchases/balance made from now to I believe June 1. You get the 0% until March 2008. You can go to their website and get the exact terms. The limit is your credit card limit.

There is no limit in the DCL 0% for 6 months... I just paid for my cruise over 3k on 0% for 6 months!

Has anyone been able to get more than 10% interest fee on their disney visa who has financed? My guide said if you finance only 10% will show up as interest free on my card. We were wanting to do the 1 year financing (50% down and 50% financed for 1 year) I wanted use the $2500 down on my disney visa interest free but they are saying you can only do this if you pay cash. Thanks for any feedback.

It is my guide's understanding that if we finace we will only get 10% of the purchase price at 0% interest free on my disney visa. We wanted to do the 50% down and finance over a year and were hoping to have $2500 interest free for 6 months. She said that when she checked they will not give you the $2500 interest free unless you pay cash. If you finance the most you will receive is 10% interest free for 6 months. Anyone have a different experience? Thanks for any feedback.

You should consider financing by getting a Discover card. I am financing our entire purchase for one year at 0% and no transaction fee. Plus you get up to 1% cash back. Just a thought.

Thanks for the discover card idea. It would be perfect since we are going to have it paid off in a year but I won't get my card in time since we want to get the $8 incentive. Congratulations on you add-on.:)

You can put the entire balance on another credit cad and transfer the balance at 0% for 12 months. That is what we are doing.
