Where did you find good value in using kid's VKL vouchers(besidesRFC)?

Hi. I am thinking of purchasing these for 50's PT or maybe Rose& Crown or the full service restaurant in Mexico (forgot the name!)I've heard that some restaurants do not allow you to order a regular appetizer even if they don't offer appetizers on the kid's menu.What has been your experience?TIA
