Hi, read about the Brita refillable bottles somewhere on these boards, but have not seen them in stores. Where did you find yours? Am I understanding correctly these bottles allow you to refill from water fountains or tap and has a filter built in? How do they work? Thanks.

The brita bottles are available at stores such as Walmart, Sams and last week Target had a two pack for$9.90. They are usually right in the same area as the brita water pitchers. Mine worked great and even insulated it with with one of those soda/beer can "huggers"

Is the water coming out of the Disney Water Fountains cold? Are the Brita water bottles "heavier" than other water bottles?

The water isn't very cool and tastes like a swamp. But filtered it is OK. We take a filter pitcher and fill water bottles in the room. We have a small soft cooler we put on the stroller packed with ice to chill the bottles.

Just picked up my Brita bottles. Those of you who have used them have not obviously experienced the Disney water that is making a lot of peoPle on these boards sick?

I am a little concerned for DS and DD ages 6 and 3. Last time we went we bought bottled water but was hoping to save same $$$ with the Brita.

We used ours two weeks ago and loved them. We would fill them up in the room with ice and a little water, when they needed refilling we would do it in the parks. the kids 10, 8, and 5 all did great with them.

I could tell a difference! We even used it to make our lemonade that we carried with it. Once my mother made her lemonade without and she said she could really taste the difference. We only bought one Brita filter ( it looks like a regular water bottle with the little popup top but it has a filter that snaps into it on the inside, it is small) Anyway, we bought Coleman water bottles from the Camping section at Wal Mart. The lids are the screw off kind and are large enough to put ice in through the top. They also come with a little freezie thing and an insulated cover and a strap for carrying. (Also $5 at Wal Mart) Anyway we filled these with ice and lemonade ( Koolaid mix we brought with us) in the morning and it worked great. We would ask for ice at lunch and refill them with the canned sodas I had carried in a backpack. It was our best money saving tip from this board because with 5 of us drinks could eat us alive!

$3.96 for a two pack at SAM's! I fill empty film containers with presweetened Koolaid/lemonaid/ice tea and take the containers in our fanny packs for refilling in the parks!
