Where did you book your travel arrangements?

I always book my air directly with the airline. Same with the car rental. Never seen the need to use a travel agent or other on-line service.

I usuall book everything myself. I also have never seen a need to use a travel agent. If I get a code I can apply it with WDW myself. I book my resort and tickets through WDW and I book my airline tickets directly with the airline.

We booked originally through at travel agent and had MAJOR MAJOR MAJOR MAJOR issues. canceled that reservation. Booked package directly through Disney and booked airfare through Orbitz.com

We are leaving tomorrow :cool1:

We booked everything thru WDW except airfare which we booked directly thru airline......:santa:

I have always booked everything myself but for this upcoming trip I used Dreams Unlimited (Sue Ellen). So far I have been VERY pleased! They were able to apply room discounts for AAA when everyone else was getting the response that the AAA rooms were gone. I was also able to get adjustments made to my CRT and 1900 Park Fare dinners, and BBB reservation with no problems. I did book my Southwest airfare and Alamo car rental myself. HTH!

We booked with Small World Travel ~ Lori B. We love it. She's been great at getting us discounts and little extras that I don't see posted on boards till way later. By the time I got the word about the discount code, my resort had sold out of the code. Lori already got the code and discount for us. Just saving the :headache: and stress of worring about those things was well worth it. She's been great a recommending ADRs and little extras to make this trip so special.

For us, half the fun is actually planning everything, so we do it all ourselves. We book most everything through the Disney site, except for airfare and car rental, which we book directly with the airline/car rental place. We usually use an airfare comparison site to find some good airfares, and then hone in on the fares with the respective carrier.

We do have some friends that are going next summer, though, for the first time (family of 5). For that purpose, I told them about a great local travel agent in our town. I knew she was very good with Disney, so they were able to sit down and have things explained and she really worked with them. I think this is a great service for people who just don't know where to start.

I ususally book it online then call bout questions/ADR's. This year I was gonna try a travel agent because of her helpfulness when we were looking at a disney cruise (we didnt end up doing it) but I hear so many horror stories regarding travel agents I am kinda nervous. Any ideas?

This is the second time I have used Magical Journeys and they have been great. I book the rest myself.

I stupidly didn't book by the 15th and lost out on the MYW ticket upgrade offering. (Darn holiday stress!) I'm trying to plan a small "Intro to Disney" trip for myself and my 2 toddlers. I want to go before my little one turns 3 (2/22).

Any suggestions for when/if other offers/discounts may become available? Suggestions for best dates for lowest price and volume in parks? I'm completely flexible on dates of travel and length of stay. We only plan to visit MK and MGM this trip.

Words of wisdom anyone??
Oh and I've only stayed at POFQ and GF before. Good suggestions for great pool, affordability and convenience? Remember, mom alone with 2 toddlers. LOL

thanks ~ shari

I booked myself last year and with help from this board we were very happy. We decided to try a travel agent this year. They say that they find out about specials because they are a Disney approved agent before the general public. If that's the case it's pretty neat. They have also said they will make all my ADR's which is nice not to have to be on the phone all the time. I guess we will know after our Sept trip if it all works out. So far I'm happy with the job they have done.

we booked dec 31 2007, and we leave in 4 days........ Im So Excited~!!!! It will be my first trip to WDW. we did it kinda soon though didnt really allow for much planning, and all. But me and the boyfriend are still pretty excited about the trip.. we booked all out reservations through disney, and will be at the WL... :cool1: I think in all we have had 2 weeks to get ready since booking, sure hope i dont forget anything.

I booked our first trip on the Disney site myself last year--no problems at all. Any time I called for ADR's or confirmations, the cast members were very helpful. Of course, then I found this site and got WONDERFUL advice on planning daily stuff from all of you! So THANK YOU!:goodvibes
