Where can you find cash rates for Vero and Hilton Head?

I used to use the non members Disney DVC website for this but they no longer list cash rates/seasons. The Disney WDW site lists all other DVC rates excepting Vero and Hilton Head. Appreciate your help.

I've posted this question, also, since the member site upgrade.

So far, I don't think anyone had an answer.

You can find rates on AAA and other travel sites, but who knows if they're accurate, or not.

If you find them, please share! I like to track that information on my DVC spreadsheet...

It's strange how they dropped the cash rates from the new site. I also can't find any "official" Disney listing of the rates.

I found HH on tripadvisor.com and travelocity.com

Though easiest was calling CRO.

I believe mousesavers and/or allears gives "season rates" if you are just curious.

Good luck
Sandy

If you are a DVC member then call MS. I got a cash discount rate from MS in Sep. I check the travel websites and there prices are higher. Infact I am getting a 2bd for around what the websites are charging for a studio.

Are the cash discounts used on the inventory of rooms Disney owns, or DVC members or both?

I am seeking a reservation in early December, but it is booked solid, and I wouldn't care if I paid cash instead of using points if the price was decent.

If this cash discount is available, how far in advance is it typically available?

Or is it more a last minute thing only?

Thanks,

Phil

My understanding is that the rooms available for a Members' cash discount (25% off rack) comes from two places -

* the points inventory of rooms that DVC members own

* the developer's inventory of rooms (portion of the resort that is ready for occupancy but not yet sold/declared into the members' inventory. The developer still owns those rooms.

You can only get a members' discount if MS determines that not all of the rooms in the above mentioned two "inventories" will be booked the "usual way". As noted, points inventory belongs to the members. Developer's inventory normally goes to CRO to rent to the general public. There is very little (if any) developer's inventory left at the sold out DVC resorts.

FWIW, I do not think you will be successful in getting a members' discount for a room in early December. It could happen for one of the weekend nights (Friday or Saturday), but even that isn't likely if MS is reporting that the resort is already full. As you might know, there are waitlists for most early December dates at BWV, BCV and VWL. Not sure about OKW. Waitlists will get the rooms (and they should, of course) befoe anyone is offered a member's discount.

CRO is your best chance of getting a cash room - you may have to pay rack rates, but there is probably still availability there at most of the WDW DVC resorts. In my experience, December weekends are popular and the general public books weekends up more quickly than the weeknights. If you want a cash room for a December weekend, my advice is to get it booked soon - you can always cancel if something else works out.

Good luck -

For members, I would call MS.

Last time I checked, the resorts were listed in the AAA books.
